When I first visited Washington Foot and Ankle I was in severe pain and couldn’t put much weight on my right foot. Dr. Maurer was able to diagnose a specific tendon problem and quickly start treating it. I wrongfully assumed thatShow more any recovery would likely involve surgery. Dr. Maurer felt he could treat the problem with conservative care including shoe inserts. Within a few weeks I noticed improvement. Two months later I am without limitations and have resumed an active recreational lifestyle. I am very appreciative of the exceptional care I received and have referred others to Dr. Maurer including my spouse. I wish I had started treatment at the clinic years ago. Thank you to everyone at the Washington Foot and Ankle Clinic.
Dr. Maurer found the small piece of glass that I had stepped on embedded deeply in my foot. We worked out a conservative plan to allow the glass piece to work itself to a more shallow location. Easier to remove. So far this approaShow morech is working.

Dr Maurer was really patient and my husband really likes him addressing and taking the time to explain what was going on with my kid.
Dr. Maurer was great. His assistant, Stephanie was great. Super friendly, yet very professional. The front desk gal was very friendly and all the pics of the Seahawks made me realize that I was right where I needed to be for my issue.

Dr Maurer is an excellent podiatrist. He’s knowledgeable, skilled, has excellent decision making skills, is personable, is interested in my issues and answers my questions.

I went back to Dr. Maurer for a toe/foot issue. I love this doctor. He does EVERYTHING he can to help me without surgery. I have been seeing Dr. Maurer for well over a decade. I highly recommend him. He is kind and supportive and listens to my concerns. You can't go wrong with Dr. Maurer.
Waited longer than an hour to see the Dr. The staff had prior knowledge of appointment delays, which they could have communicated earlier or even during the very long wait in a tiny waiting room with 2 young, energetic and restless kiddos. The practice has done beautiful grounds I could have Sat with the children so they could have used up some of their restless wiggles instead of being to to be quiet in a space that is not designed for kids! Once the dr arrived, there was no acknowledgement for delays and the entire consult lasted 14 mins - and told to revisit in 12 months! I don't know if I should believe this as the consulted occured after the closing time and wonder if the consult is true or if Dr has somewhere else to be!
Dr. Maurer is an amazing podiatrist and surgeon. Words cannot express how incredibly grateful I am that he kept pressing and doing more tests to get to the bottom of my condition, when other podiatrists seemed to either not know what to do, or want to go further. He didn’t give up on me. My condition was resolved through proper diagnostic imaging, special testing, and surgery. Dr. Maurer gave me back the ability to finally walk without pain, and continue doing the travels and treks that bring me so much joy. I saw him yesterday for my one year follow up, and it was everything I could do to hold back the tears of appreciation and gratitude. He’s kind, he listens, he cares, and he’s willing to go the extra mile (no pun intended) to help his patients. Additionally his therapy assistant Bella…(his dog) is adorable and comforting. The staff is awesome, and ALWAYS helpful, and are ALL at the top of their “A game”. Thanks Millions Dr. Maurer!!
Dr. Maurer was very professional and thorough in his examination. I would not hesitate to recommend him!
Dr Maurer is an excellent doctor in every way. Super great demeanor, listens, educates and is a healer. Very strong recommendation from me.
Dr Maurer is awesome. He carefully examined my flat feet and suggested customized orthotics. The orthotics are carefully designed for different use cases and they are super comfortable. I highly recommend this place.
Dr. Maurer took his time assess my concerns then explained his findings and outlined the path to improvement. I highly recommend him. He also brings his dog into each appointment, which for me is a great practice.
Dr. Maurer helped so much with alleviating pain I was having. He and all his staff are professional, friendly, and helpful! Highly recommend.
Dr Maurer was exceptionally thorough assessing my feet & legs. He listened to my own assessment of what I believed needed fixing to be able to stay on the tennis court with greater frequency for longer periods. He then proposed a hybrid orthotic solution and ordered further imaging of my legs. I found the process to be efficient, meticulous & holistic. His concerns & advice about my other health issues were spot on & helpful. His staff are great, too! I feel like I’m in good hands.
He is goid.
Spent time to listen and answer questions
Professional office and staff
Hi! My son needed new orthotics and Dr. Maurer's staff helped us with that. They measured my son's foot and following a 2-month wait we got orthotics. The highlight during the appointment was Dr. Maurer's dog - she was very friendly and made my son comfortable.
Once again, Dr. Maurer and staff, including Bella, were fantastic. I broke a metatarsal a few years back and had a great experience then. I had to schedule again as my toe was swollen. I thought it was an in grown toe nail…nope, I am on my feet too much, had a few calluses and probably wasn’t wearing the right shoes. Dr. Maurer took good care and time with me. From the minute I came in to make an appointment, front office staff was super friendly. I was called back by Stephanie, I believe, who was also so sweet and attentive. Thanks again team as you always make a hurtful foot situation into a positive experience. So painless! I appreciate you all, Bella included!
Excellence
So thorough in more ways than I imagined to get to the core of my issue misdiagnosed by another Dr. and now on our way to treating plantar fasciitis. Thank you, Dr. Mauer!!!
Quick, efficient, friendly, and best of all, no long wait.
