Meet Ms. Jochen

Laura Jochen is a family nurse practitioner that has been associated with Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology for two decades.  Her career in this organization began in foundational roles across front office administration, billing, and nursing, which provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape. Over the years, she advanced to lead our food allergy treatment program, particularly focusing on oral immunotherapy (OIT). This role allowed her to directly impact the lives of countless individuals and families, guiding them through treatment protocols with a commitment to safety and efficacy.

She graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, a reflection of her dedication to academic excellence and evidence-based practice. Her commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in allergy and immunology drives her continuous engagement in ongoing research and professional development. This ensures that her patients receive care grounded in the most current scientific evidence.

As a proud member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of clinical practice. Her approach to care is patient-centered, with a strong emphasis on patient education. She believes that empowering patients with knowledge is key to effective management of their health. Her clinical expertise spans the treatment of a wide range of conditions, including food and environmental allergies, urticaria (hives), primary immunodeficiencies, eczema, asthma, and COPD, serving patients from infancy through adulthood.

Outside of her professional life, she is deeply committed to her family. She cherishes the time spent with her husband, their three wonderful children, and two beloved boxer dogs. This personal time recharges her, allowing her to bring her best self to her practice every day.
