Dr. Nelson brings an impressive academic and professional background to her work at Metropolitan Orthodontics. She earned her undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park.
She went on to complete her dental degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and further expanded her skills and knowledge with a Master of Science at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond.

Very good experience to go there
Had a great experience with Dr. Nelson during my first visit and decided to move forward with the comprehensive invisalign treatment package. Looking forward to working with her and her team going forward.
Dr Nelson and her ENTIRE staff are all so warm, friendly and professional ! Even the office is immaculate ! Dr Nelson personally reviewed my pics and needs and explained the treatment options . Even the cost options were laid out by her and not a staff member. I was so impressed that I signed up immediately . Looking forward to start my treatment soon

Dr. Nelson and her staff have been nothing but amazing to me and my family. My kids LOVE this practice and even tho it’s now 30-40 min away we don’t plan on changing. Every time we come we feel welcomed, taken care of and heard. I have my daughter doing treatment right now and I will deff. Be having my sons treatment done w them as well. I am so happy I found this practice!
