About Kristel Hart, DAOM, FABORM, LAc, Dipl OM

Dr. Kristel Hart is a licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine who focuses on increasing overall wellness including treatment of pain, improving gastrointestinal health and alleviating stress/anxiety and fatigue. A fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), she specializes in all areas of women’s health and fertility including IVF preparation and support.

Additional areas of expertise include cardiovascular disease, thyroid health, weight management, and functional medicine. Dr. Hart uses an integrative approach when caring for her patients, combining acupuncture treatments and Traditional Chinese herbal medicine along with functional lab testing, nutritional counseling, supplements, and healthy lifestyle recommendations.

Dr. Hart received her doctorate with a specialization in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Masters from Emperor's College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She then completed an externship at the Meiji University of Integrative Medicine in Kyoto, Japan. Dr. Hart did her residency at the Acupuncture and Wellness Center with renowned acupuncturist Bob Doane where she learned medical pulse diagnosis and distal needling techniques.

Dr. Hart is a professor at Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the primary investigator for a clinical trial she is conducting in conjunction with the Turek Clinics and Beverly Hills Hernia Center to develop a safe and effective Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal therapy for the management of acute postoperative pain.

Even before completing her degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Hart has been dedicated to studying and practicing the healing arts all over the world. As a Reiki master, certified yoga and meditation teacher she is able to provide a well-rounded wellness perspective, and as an avid traveler who has lived in Europe and India she connects with a variety of cultures. Dr. Hart is fluent in Spanish, French and German.
