Khaled Ismail, MD, is board-certified in nephrology and hypertension, and internal medicine. He sees patients at Hypertension Nephrology Associates, PC, located in Livonia, Michigan.
Dr. Ismail is a Michigan native and a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree with High Honors. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, where he was awarded both Intern of the Year and Junior Resident of the Year and was subsequently chosen as a Chief Resident. Dr. Ismail continued at Henry Ford Hospital for his Nephrology subspecialty training, where he also became Chief Nephrology Fellow. During his training, Dr. Ismail was appointed to the Residency Review Committee for Internal Medicine, a committee of 20 members which is responsible for regulating the education of medical doctors nationwide.
Dr. Ismail has served as Vice Chief of Staff at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and is now the Nephrology Program Director at St. John Macomb Hospital. Dr. Ismail is the Medical Director of Fresenius Kidney Care Warren and Madison Heights hemodialysis units.

I was a little apprehensive about meeting a new doctor, but Dr. Ismail and his staff put me at ease. They took time to listen to My history and concerns, and seemed to be genuinely interested in my welfare. There was no rush, which I appreciated. Doctor was down to earth, and spoke in a manner which was easily understood.
Doctor Ismail has great bedside manners and keeps my visit positive even when I may start feeling emotional or negative about my progress. Yes, I would recommend all my family and friends to see Dr. Ismail for any hypertension or kidney problems they may have because when he enters the room he has already viewed your chart and is ready with any recommendations or alternate plans for the next step of progress to better your health.
