About Kevin Tran, PA-C

Kevin Tran assists Dr. Samir Lapsiwala in surgery and in clinic seeing patients both pre-operatively and post-operatively.

He attended the University of North Texas in Denton for his undergraduate education, then completed Physician Assistant school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.

Kevin chose the field of neurosurgery because he feels it is truly one of the most intriguing fields in medicine and surgery that requires detailed knowledge, strong confidence and an immense skill set. He gets great satisfaction from this specialty because it is both mentally and physically challenging. Whether it be a tedious microsurgery for a brain aneurysm or a multilevel lumbar fusion requiring complex spinal instrumentation, he gets immense gratification from being able to fix a person’s problem in a very immediate way.

Kevin was born and raised in Carrollton, Texas, but has called Fort Worth home since he attended PA school. He likes to travel and spend time with family and friends in his spare time. Kevin is an avid sports fan. He is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. He enjoys staying active by playing basketball, football, and lifting weights, but also likes to relax with a nice glass of wine at the end of a long day.
