Kenneth Wu, MD, is a board-certified physician in interventional pain management and anesthesiology. He is the chief medical officer at Procura Pain and Spinein The Woodlands, Texas.
Dr. Wu earned his medical degree at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Medical School in Lubbock. He then completed his internship and anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by a fellowship in interventional pain management at Rush University in Chicago. To better help pain patients with coexisting substance issues, Dr. Wu recently obtained a third board certification in addiction medicine.
Prior to joining Procura Pain and Spine, Dr. Wu was the director for the Geriatric Pain Center at UT Physicians Center for Healthy Aging, where he managed degenerative spinal and nonspinal chronic pain as well as compassionate pain palliation for geriatric patients near the end of life. Dr. Wu also served as the chief interventional pain management physician at Memorial Hermann TIRR Medical Center to treat patients with neurological conditions, such as spinal cord injury, stroke, and complex pain after surgery and trauma.
Dr. Wu, who has been in practice since 2009, has a wealth of knowledge in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes throughout the body and is not limited to the spine. His primary clinical interests are persistent post-surgical pain, nerve and spinal cord injury pain, geriatric or elderly pain, spinal pain, headaches, abdominal pain, and pelvic pain.
He currently holds an adjunct professor position for the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Wu also serves as a consultant for the Texas Medical Board.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kenneth Wu for a couple of years and I’m so grateful about his compassion and caring for his patience. He has even hired a company that calls his patients to get a list of medicine from you, I think once a month, and then a pharmacist reviews it, calls you back and tells you all about your medicine. He’s was the most compassionate and thorough Dr. ive ever seen. He explained everything in detail about my procedure. To tell you how confident I fill about him, I have a “bonus” insurance I can use called surgery plus and pay nothing. He’s not in network with them but yet I decided to still let him take care of me. Being compassionate and thorough and patient goes along way. It means more to me than anything in the world. Thank you for allowing me to leave this review.

Dr. Wu is a great pain dr. I have been seeing him a couple of years. Not only does he treat my back pain. He cares about me as person. I need a lung transplant and he always ask about my lungs.
Dr Wu has literally gotten me to live again. He doesn’t make hasty decisions but once he does, he is committed to see it finished. I am so incredibly thankful to have found him! The staff is great and even though I’m only there every few months, they know me by name. Would hands down recommend!!
