Kate Heyde, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at KAMcare Health and Wellness in Plano, Texas.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She earned her master’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
As a nurse and nurse practitioner, Kate has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), preoperative care (PREOP)/post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and internal medicine.
Kate is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and North Texas Nurse Practitioners. Kate is passionate about empowering patients through open communication and accessibility.
Kate grew up in Plano and now lives in Richardson with her husband, two children, and yellow Lab.

As always, Kate takes the best care of my health issues. She has taken care of my health for several years and would not go anywhere else. She takes time and never rushes me out the door like some doctors. She truly cares about her patients. She is the best!

Kate is always very thorough, and takes the time to understand your concerns and does not hurry you along or just put you on a bunch of pills. She always tries to get to the root of whatever problem you're having, and is quick to give a referral if necessary. She really cares, and calls in person if she has an update or follow-up on your exam. She is such an up-beat, positive person, that I always feel better just being around her. My favorite caregiver ever!
KAMcare, Kate Hyde and front office, Priscilla are a much-welcomed change from past visits with other providers! I had become resigned to showing up for an appointment and being made to wait 20-40 minutes past my appointment time to be called back. Never at this office. This office has a very personable demeanor while being able to maintain the professionalism you want in personal healthcare. Kate is extremely knowledgeable and kind and really takes time to listen to me. Many times, through her listening and questioning, a root issue is identified. Often times the trouble that is identified is something I was unaware of or I just dismissed. This results in less doctor’s office visits as Kate will address this problem as well as any possible associated issues. Whenever I need to text the office, I ALWAYS receive a response (text) addressing my issue in a timely manner. It is a very reliable office. The office has a friendly atmosphere as Priscilla is the first to greet you. Her welcoming manner and pleasant disposition put me at ease immediately when I have an appointment. I have referred many friends to this office and my friends always let me know how much they appreciate that I did!
