When I had a question about procedure that wasn’t covered by my iShow morensurance, she picked up the phone and called me with her info. She truly cares for her patients! One in a million!

About Dr. Karen F. Brodman, MD
Karen F. Brodman, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN committed to providing quality gynecology care to women of all ages. At her office in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, Dr. Brodman treats various gynecological conditions. She has a particular interest in treating vulvar disorders, colposcopy, abnormal bleeding, and pelvic pain. She is a North American Menopause Society Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) with expertise in menopause and perimenopause issues.
After years of private practice on the Upper East Side of New York City, she is thrilled to be working in her new Upper West Side practice location. Dr. Brodman’s expertise is only solidified by her accolades, including board certification in obstetrics and gynecology, being a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), and being a published author.
Dr. Brodman received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Douglass College at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. From there, she went on to complete her residency training at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Brodman is a member of the voluntary faculty and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, New York, where she remains active in ongoing medical education. When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Brodman enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, hiking, and crafting.

Karen makes an effort to develop rapport with her patients. We chatted for a bit before the examination in which we discussed that we both are mothers of twins, common experiences, etc. all of which develop a feeling of comfort. Karen takes good notes and referred to them throughout which made me feel that she was really on top of my medical background and any potential issues.
I have been going to Dr. Brodman for over 30 years .aside from her immense knowledge and experience, she is truly a lovely human being. I am 100% satisfied with the care she has given me throughout the years. She is thorough, and never rushes. When I first went to her as a young girl, after being thrown out of several doctors offices when they couldn’t find anything, Dr Brodman found the problem which required a specific procedure. It was my first time doing the HPV + Pap Smear Test so I was nervous before my appointment as I didn’t know what I should do. But Dr. Brodman guided me carefully through the entire process, explained things clearly and made me feel comfortable. It was a very informative and a pleasant visit.
