About 18 months ago I loss my vision in my right eye. I was immediately referred to drs. Wagner and Kapoor for treatment. I was so afraid I would lose my sight permanently but was reassured that they had a treatment that could hShow moreelp me get at least some of sight back. They told me I would need to take a shot in my eye once a month, possibly forever i had the treatment and I responded wonderfully. So we'll infant after eighteen months I know longer near the shots. I will be checked again in 6 months and if everything goes well I may o ly need to be rechecked once a year if I have no further symptoms. I am so grateful for the care I received and recommend these doctors highly.

Kapil G. Kapoor, is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biology, Psychology and Health Sciences, and completed medical school at The Ohio State University. He then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch - Galveston, where he completed his residency in ophthalmology as Co-Chief Resident.
Dr. Kapoor furthered his training with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he was also classically trained in the principles of the ethics of medicine He remains committed to Mayo Clinic’s mission that focuses on patient-centered compassionate care.
He is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Chair of Retina at Eastern Virginia Medical School, has served as President of the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and also volunteers his time to provide free eye care at the Lions Eye Clinic.
With over a decade’s experience in the field, Dr. Kapoor is a progressive leader in the healthcare space. He has been passionately involved in ophthalmology research as part of his mission to deliver the best care possible to his patients. He is Co-Founder and President of the Wagner Kapoor Research Institute which has been actively engaged in over 75 clinical trials, often one of the only sites in the region offering sight-saving treatment. He has published over 70 research papers and book chapters in many national scientific journals.
In his spare time, Dr. Kapoor and his wife Dr. Elleni Kapoor, a children's dentist, enjoy traveling the world and raising their three children in Hampton Roads.

Gave injection before numbing drops work causing great pain
Dr. Kapoor saved my vision many years ago. That's it. That's enough.
Dr Kapoor is the best. He took time to discuss new medications with me as well as administering the injections I needed. He is friendly and knowledgeable. I could not ask for better care.

Not stressful and the physician answer my questions and are very pleasant
Wagner and Kapoor are skilled professionals, helping numerous people. Their office staff is friendly, supportive and sometimes can liven with appointment with a little fun. I am especially impressed with the staff that manages the financial aspect of the visits. They are wonderful at their job.

My MD was Dr. Al-Debbagh, and I am VERY satisfied with him as my physician. I have not met any other physicians in the practice so cannot comment in that regards. I have been very impressed with the professionalism, helpfulness and friendly attitudes of each staff member I have encountered.

Outstanding service
Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The doctor shared and explained all information and responded clearly to my questions. There was a long wait, however, before actually seeing the Doctor.
On point
First and foremost, there was virtually no long wait to see the doctor. The staff we very cordial. Dr. Kapoor was very impressive. Great demeanor, listened to my questions, and seemed genuinely concerned with my situation. He was quick to offer a non surgical plan, which I was very happy with.
