About Julia Liu, PhD, PA-C

Ms. Liu is a nationally certified physician assistant.  She earned an M.D. and Ph.D. in China, and she started practicing dermatology after completing a 3-year residency program in Dermatology at the Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Medicine in 1998. Soon after,  she relocated to the US with her family, where she involved herself in medical research of melanoma and allergic contact dermatitis at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Maryland. With an eye toward following her passion for dermatology, Ms. Liu then completed her PA training at AACC and obtained her Master’s Degree in Medical Science at St. Francis University in 2015 which allowed her to practice dermatology again. Ms. Liu is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. 

With years of dermatology experiences in two different countries,  Ms Liu’s knowledge base and skills have been expanded, refined, and enriched. Ms. Liu is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of dermatologic conditions and skilled in dermatological surgeries. She also enjoys performing cosmetic procedures, such as BOTOX, dermal fillers, chemical peels and laser treatments. Her passion for skin health and patient care are intertwined in her daily practice, with her striving to tailor treatment plans to every individual's needs. 

When Ms. Liu is not in the office, she enjoys mountain biking, traveling and family time.These activities are her way to relax and reenergize herself in order to preserve a healthy work-life balance.
