Joshua Spanogle, MD
Joshua Spanogle, MD, is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and is board certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs Surgery). Dr. Spanogle received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine. Following a residency in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Dr. Spanogle completed a Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Spanogle has published numerous academic papers and other academic writings.
Dr. Spanogle has performed over 15,000 surgeries and is an active member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons and the American Academy of Dermatology. In December 2021, Dr. Spanogle became one of the first dermatologists to achieve certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
In addition to being a Dermatologic Surgeon, Dr. Spanogle is the author of two novels (Isolation Ward and Flawless), which were translated into nine languages. Both books were San Francisco Chronicle and Los Angeles Times bestsellers.

Atoosa is always very knowledgeable and gives me tips to address my skincare concerns. Very happy with IPL results.
I have been a patient of Atoussa for over 10 years she has always been gentle, kind, through full and very knowledgeable. Atoussa always tells me what she is doing and has a calm and reassuring demeanor. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and very efficient.
The check on was fast with keeping best safety practices in mind. Atoussa, as usual, carefully examined me for any potential issues and took appropriate action - which made me feel very comfortable about my health care

Angelica who prepared me for the biopsy was very gentle, careful and pleasant to talk with. The PA didn’t hurt me in anyway in doing the biopsy. As far as I know all went A-OK. Let you know when they heal.

Atousa is amazing. She is warm and caring which makes a difficult appointment pleasantly tolerable. My only suggestion with all respect to the office staff and Dr. Klein is regarding the front office clerk, Linda. When we arrived and called in to be admitted, her manner and tone was quite aggressive and harsh. We waited outside in the cold for 12 minutes after the abrupt interaction which did not help the situation. Perhaps the staff can review sensitivity and proper customer service training.
My entire family have been patients of Klein Dermatology for nearly 20 years. The best we’ve been to and we drive an hour just to be seen by Dr. Klein and Atussa. Excellent bedside manner, friendly and very knowledgeable. We are clients for life.
Just the absolute most fantastic and fabulous practice on the planet. My entire family drives from the Temecula valley because this office and Atousa and Everyone that answers the phone checks us in greets us, they’re just perfect in every way.
