This is now my new RA specialist. I was very impressed! i have many health issues and Dr. Roldan spent “extra” time over the 30 minutes and is very patient, VERY knowledgeable as i had hope, why I chose him, and took time to EXPAShow morein his way of thinking and attacking issues which totally made sense and introduced a possible new diagnosis that sounded like it could be on target and not dismissing my other health issues. He is going to take a month to study my records from the past 6-7 years and his new tests done at visit, evaluate and wen we meet again in 6 weeks go over the findings and go from there. So yes, i am so far, happy, impressed and really hope this relationship dFor my healthcare continues as it was today. Thank you so far Arthritis Associates, Dr. Jose Roldan.
I was nervous about getting a gel injection into my arthritic knee. I shouldn’t have been! There was no pain at all ( I hate needles) and I was in and out in 5 minutes. Dr Roldan could not have been kinder. Within an hour, I couldShow more feel the long-standing pain in my knee lessen. The next day: no pain in my knee anymore. It feels like new again. Don’t put this off like I did. Call Dr Roldan’s office & make an appt. It’s like magic.
About Dr. Roldan
Jose Roldan, MD, MS, is an expert rheumatologist at Arthritis Associates in San Antonio, Texas. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
Dr. Roldan earned his medical degree from the Institute of Health Sciences in Medellin, Colombia, and a Master of Science in clinical investigation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed an internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC) in San Antonio.
Prior to joining Arthritis Associates, Dr. Roldan was a clinical instructor and associate professor of rheumatology at UTHSC in San Antonio. While at UTHSC, he created and directed the lupus and vasculitis clinics. He was also a staff rheumatologist at San Antonio Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in Texas.
Dr. Roldan maintains his medical credentials to stay up to date with the latest advances in internal medicine and rheumatology. He is a member of the Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Medical Society, and American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Roldan compassionately cares for patients ages 12 and older and welcomes them to Arthritis Associates.

I have nothing but praise for Dr Roldan and his staff. I have been a patient of his for a number of years and have always been treated with respect and expert care.
