About Jorge Martinez, AuD

JJ Martinez, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA, is an accomplished audiologist on the team of providers at SLENT, a renowned otolaryngology practice with three clinics conveniently located in Mandeville, Slidell, and Hammond, Louisiana. Dr. Martinez served active duty in the United States Marine Corps before receiving his bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2005 and his doctoral degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2010.

He completed internships at North Oaks Hospital, Tulane University Hospital, and several audiology practices in the greater New Orleans area as well as a year-long externship with a private practice in Hammond, Louisiana. Dr. Martinez is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. He provides humanitarian services and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations as a member of Rotary International and is a Clinical Director of the Healthy Hearing discipline for the Special Olympics Louisiana.

Dr. Martinez will provide patients with diagnostic hearing evaluations, musician monitors, custom hearing protection, assistive listening devices, hearing aids, and evaluation and treatment of vertigo. Dr. Martinez and his wife, Sarah, live in Ponchatoula and have one daughter, Sloane.
