I was getting a second opinion on a knee injury. I was given an appointment quickly. When I arrived I did not have to wait long to see the PA. He did an exam, I had X-rays done then I saw Dr. Murphy. He got right to the point. No Show moresurgery. Just what I wanted to hear. My daughter in law, a nurse, was with me. She understood everything about the MRI and what the plan was. Even though it’s a long recovery I know I’m on the right track.
Dr. Murphy was professional yet easy to talk with before and after my knee replacement surgery. This mattered greatly to me. A prior consult with a very different doctor (not affiliated with Sports Medicine) ended poorly and left Show moreme concerned about having this surgery. Dr. Murphy’s experience and forthright, thoughtful and respectful responses to my questions assuaged my concerns. Although no post op of anything is easy, I believe his skills as a surgeon have made my recovery untroubled. I’ve already recommended him to several folks.
Jonathan Greenleaf, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics. At Sports Medicine Oregon in Tigard and Wilsonville, Oregon, Dr. Greenleaf treats a wide variety of orthopedic patients and is especially skilled in arthroscopic treatment of knees and shoulders.
Dr. Greenleaf received his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. After completing an internship at Eastern Virginia Medical Center in Norfolk, Virginia, Dr. Greenleaf returned to the Boston University School of Medicine for his orthopedic surgery residency. He furthered his training by completing both a pediatric orthopedic fellowship in New Zealand and a sports medicine fellowship at the Orthopedic and Fracture Clinic in Eugene, Oregon.
Dr. Greenleaf is a master instructor in both shoulder and knee surgery. Currently, he is a team physician for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team and an orthopedic consultant for the Portland Thorns. He was the Medical Director for the 2016 US Track & Field indoor championships and 2016 World Championships. He was also the team physician for the US Olympic Track & Field Trials. Some of Dr. Greenleaf’s current research includes the use of biologic injections in tissue healing, as well as a national study investigating minimally invasive cartilage restoration surgeries.
Besides maintaining his practice, Dr. Greenleaf also provides orthopedic support at the Nike Sports Medicine clinic and local high schools. In his leisure time, he enjoys fly fishing, mountain biking, and rock climbing.

From the beginning I have felt like a priority with OSM. No one likes to “be repaired” but I have full trust and faith my needs at OSM were prioritized and repaired correctly using the latest technology and practices. Doctor is in a hurry. Hard to get questions answered to my satisfaction. I was told I am too old to repair my knee, which has been extremely painful. I cannot take ibuprofen for pain because of a blood disorder, tylenol does not work well enough. I have been very active in the past. This has affected me in many negative ways. I wasnt told why I am too old for the surgery.

The office got me in quickly to see Dr Muphy. I had been trying to see another ortho and it was taking weeks to see anyone Dr was quick and Om now booked for surgery
My first encounter with the gal doing the fitting of my custom brace was slightly difficult. She seemed pretty stressed and not so pleasant. However, by the time we finished, all was OK.

It was much different than the other knee for same basic job but i felt much a lot better once the infection seem to clear up i thought the follow up was good
