Dr Young is the best Dr. have ever been to for any female problems in my whole life. Hands down it would take a book to write al the good there is so tay about him and his staff . Esp his nurse Michelle & Is nurse Cindy. AS a maShow moretter of fact his whole staff to be on point . He himself will call you back if your in crisis or just need to talk to YOUR DR. not 5 days later either, more like 5 mins later and take care of the problem at hand or at least get you through the crisis until you see hin ftf. I Trust Dr Young completely. He’s very detailed and seems to really care. Front receptionist lady, and lady who took blood pressure could have at least gave a greeting. Come off rude, especially walking way ahead of me going to exShow moream room. Then gave instructions on what to take off while leaving and then said loudly okay outside of door. Dr Young and nurse and lady who checked me out were very nice as always.
Johnny Young, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in gynecology. He owns and operates J. Shan Young, MD, in Anniston, Alabama, and has more than 30 years of experience in caring for the health care needs of women.
Dr. Young is a compassionate, understanding physician. He’s built a career on listening to his patients’ concerns and needs before recommending treatment. Dr. Young strives to educate his patients on all of their treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their own care.
After graduating from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Young enrolled in Emory University School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree, he continued his education through Emory University School of Gynecology and Obstetrics, where he completed his OB/GYN residency and served as the chief administrative resident.
Dr. Young practiced in Jacksonville, Alabama, for 23 years until Jacksonville Medical Center merged with Northeast Alabama Medical Center. He launched his practice in Anniston in 2014, where he and his dedicated staff remain today.
As an experienced OB/GYN, Dr. Young’s priority is to deliver exceptional gynecological care to women throughout the Anniston community and surrounding neighborhoods. He provides high-quality services for women of all ages, including hormone replacement therapy for menopause, fertility evaluations, and hysterectomies.
Whether women visit Dr. Young for abnormal bleeding, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, or endometriosis, he has the expertise and experience to meet every patient’s unique needs and health care goals.
Outside the medical office, Dr. Young is an accomplished author. He also belongs to several professional organizations, such as the Alabama Physicians for Life and the American Medical Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Young is happily married to his wife, Cynthia Bolling Young. Together, they have six children and nine grandchildren.

Great doctor, explains everything to you. I’ve had him as my doctor for 9 years and he has never disappointed me. All of his office help is the best as well.
