John Welch, ANP-BC, is an adult nnurse practitioner who specializes in interventional pain management and has worked in the space for nearly a decade. He currently sees patients at Spine and Pain Institute, which has locations in Vero Beach and Palm Beach, Florida.
Mr. Welch is a native Floridian who grew up in Brevard County and has worked the majority of his career in the region. After graduating from Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College) in 2002 with his AA degree, Mr. Welch pursued his passion by enrolling in the University of Central Florida’s Nursing Program.
After graduating UCF’s Nursing Program with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2003, Mr. Welch accepted a nursing position (RN) with a local hospital in Melbourne, Florida, where he provided nursing care to ER and post-op patients for several years. It was during this time working with and developing relationships with other clinicians and physicians that he realized a higher calling to further his education and become a nurse practitioner. After acceptance back to the University of Central Florida, Mr. Welch graduated from the Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) program with a Master’s Degree in December of 2008 and went on to become board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Initially, Mr. Welch began practicing in primary and urgent care, where he spent approximately five years before being provided an opportunity at an interventional pain management practice to refine his skillset. It was here where Mr. Welch met Dr. Esposito and, while working collaboratively, gained an understanding, interest, and affinity for helping patients reduce their pain through the application of creative interventional pain management approaches and techniques. It was also at that time that Mr. Welch recognized this was the specialty he wanted to fully immerse himself in to master. Since 2015, Mr. Welch has been providing exceptional interventional pain management care and services to the residents of the local community.
Mr. Welch enjoys helping patients achieve their goals of eliminating as much debilitating pain from their daily lives as possible and is able to do this through his clinical expertise, multi-modality pain experience and knowledge of the most advanced cutting-edge therapies available.

John is amazing! He listens and communicates with you and does not rush you out of the room.
John was very apathetic to my pain and all that has happened. He was perfect genleman and has a great bed side manor.
Above average staff. Wait times can be long. Caring people. Polite to the patients and treat us with respect. Sensible but not unfair treatment. They do shots as all pain mgmnt seems to be concentrated on. I have not received an injection yet but they were planned from first visit.
Great staff very informative and caring
