Dr. Shelnutt is an Athens native and UGA alumni. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in 1994. After completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Dr. Shelnutt returned to Athens to open his practice in 1999. Since that time, Dr. Shelnutt has sought out opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills.

Dr.Shellnut and his team are caring, considerate, and professional. They go above and beyond to care for the patient. This week was my first visit to Dr. Shelnutt and I had a wonderful experience! From the minute I walked in, to the minute I checked out, everyone was so nice and helpful! And I LOVED that Dr. Shelnutt took the time to meet and talk with me before my exam. I highly recommend him and his practice!

Dr. Shellnut was very kind and professional. He took time to discuss my thoughts, and he really explained the reasoning behind my symptoms. He offered options for treatment according to my comfort level. The staff could not be any kinder! They were all fabulous. The offices are beautiful and very well kept! Highly recommend!

Dr. Shelnutt is very knowledgeable and awesome at his professional. He's very personable and cares for his patients. I had a outpatient procedure and he called the next day to check on me. I can't recall a doctor ever calling to check on me after surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Shelnutt, is genuine and caring. His mannerisms put you at ease, which isn’t an easy task when you are at your most vulnerable. He’s a blessing to anyone lucky enough to be his patient.
