You're not treated as an addict or "junkie" just simply a human being. She listens, shows concern and engages directly with me when I'm use to not seeing a Dr at all just nurses sent in to convey messages. I owe getting back my life to her.đź’ś
The ladies here are all so great! The office is good, clean an always smells so good. Had to take my baby to a appointment an they were all very sweet with him an helped me while i needed to be seen. Awesome recovery center!!

My name is Jesslynne and I’m the new Nurse Practitioner joining the My Next Steps team. I recently graduated from UNC Wilmington in May with my Doctorate in family medicine, essentially the jack of all trades. My work background includes 11+ years at “Grace” hospital with the last 8 years being in the emergency room. I’m a Morganton local and have been living in Burke County since 2001. I married my high school sweetheart in 2007. Since then our family has grown and we now have 5 daughters, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and a cockatiel. In my free time, I love being outdoors in the mountains or at the lake with family and friends. My second favorite activity is going to the movie theater for nachos and cheese with extra jalapenos, the movie is just a bonus. I love music and my hobbies include playing piano/ukulele/drums and singing Karaoke with my girls. I am excited to be able to give back to my community and help people evolve into the best version of themselves.

I was struggling really hard today I had relapsed and had been going through a really dark space. This woman really helped me and her staff. They did not cast judgment on me. They treated me like a normal human being and that is what meant the most to me so thank you. I will be coming back. She will be my permanent provider.

Had an appointment today with my next steps an all the ladies here are all so sweet an kind. They got me in an out fairly quickly an it was an easy process. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone i know! They went above an beyond to make sure i had everything i needed took care of. ( :
She’s very attentive and listens to what you have to say. I would recommend her to anybody I know.
Some medical professionals are so judgemental and lack compassion and understanding for what people are going through or how they feel compared to what the doctor expects. That is not the case here, very warm and inviting staff. I have had difficulty getting my medication over the years when I have moved and switched doctors. She was very understanding and made continuing my meds very easy and got me back to feeling like myself again. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that, means the world!
Jess goes above and beyond as a dr . She is compassionate and easy to talk to . She has helped me so much .

Jesslynne and everyone at my next steps are the best I have ever got to see I love goin there it's always a better day after going there always laughing and happy super nice and very professional they make you feel comfortable and if you have anything you need explained they make sure you understand instead of talking in doctors terms and they will help you through any problems you have I wouldn't go anywhere else everyone there makes you feel at home
Jesslynne was very nice! She made sure all of my questions were answered in a way I could actually understand. She's also seems to be very supportive in my weight loss journey even at the very beginning.
She is friendly but professional . She made me comfortable to talk about my pain and how we can deal with it . I am very pleased with her .
I was taken in the day I called , desperate for help . By that afternoon My Next Steps had me on a path to help me deal with my pain and the people there are so friendly and sweet . I know I have a long road ahead of me and feel they will be here for me .
Love all the girls at this office, they have always been so friendly and helpful. Dr. Lillard always takes the time to listen to any concerns and is such a wonderful provider!
