I had my right ankle replacement surgery on 5/24/24, & I must say that my experience with Dr. Strange has been excellent from the pre-surgery meetings through the surgery & hospital stay & through each of our post-surgery meetingsShow more; the same is true for each of his staff members. My right knee had been replaced in 2008, & knowing that background, Dr. Strange was able to advise me what to expect this time in comparison to that experience. My progress through the post-surgery healing was virtually exactly as as he had advised it would be if I followed his advice on staying relatively immobile early on in order to let the prosthesis time to bond with my bones, then gradually increasing mobility including use of a removable boot for a time, then beginning PT at a facility & at home. Admittedly I didn't do my PT as religiously as I should have due to a chronic illness, but even so, I was walking slowly without a cane a week before my last appointment with Dr. Strange, & with his advice, I walked 1/3 mile right after my appointment with virtually no pain; I hadn't been able to walk that far 6-9 months before surgery nor had I been able to walk any distance without pain for 5 years.
Everyone was pleasant and kind. Dr Strange made me feel at ease and I basically didn’t hurt. I had had a real negative experience about 20 yrs ago. Now have have had a positive experience and hope to continue being seen by Dr.Show more Strange
Jeremy Strange, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Foot & Ankle Specialists of New Mexico, with locations in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Strange has more than a decade of private practice experience and treats patients of all ages for any foot and ankle problem.
Dr. Strange graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2008 from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, Illinois. He then traveled back to Salt Lake City, Utah to complete his residency at Intermountain Medical Center.
Immediately following residency, Dr. Strange moved back to his childhood hometown of Vernal, Utah and practiced as a solo provider for 11 years. During that time he was able to hone his skills in all aspects of surgical and non-surgical podiatric medical care. He and his wife have since moved to Albuquerque to continue his career as a foot and ankle specialist. Dr. Strange is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery.
When not treating patients, Dr. Strange enjoys mountain biking, golfing, kayaking and traveling with his wife.

Seen right away far right foot injury. X-rays taken and shot on foot to help with severe pain 2 weeks ago. To date still concerned and favoring right foot. Afraid of falling.

Dr.Strange was great. He explained my foot problem better than anyone I have seen for this over a 20 year period. He told me how to manage when it flares up . Good Doc would highly recommend him.

Arrived on time for my appointment, went into an exam room after about 5 minutes. The nurse took my information and took an xray. Went back to the exam room and waited 30 minutes fir Dr. Strange to come in. He was very nice and professional, but didn't apologize for the long wait. My time is valuable too. If the nurse had told me Dr. Strange was running late it would've been nice. I like the practice and the people, but I hate waiting when I was on time.
