About Jenny Choi, LAc, MS

Jenny Choi is a board-licensed acupuncturist. She is a graduate of UCLA with a major in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology and South Baylo University with Summa Cum Lade.

Jenny has had a great interest in Biology and healthcare fields since childhood. Before she decided to pursue her studies in Acupuncture & Oriental medicine, she participated in brain cancer cell (glioblastoma) research, extracting a key protein complex for cancer cell proliferation and testing anti-cancer drug effects on cells. While engaged in this research, she noted the often debilitating side effects of many of the medications. This work led to her interest in naturopathic and holistic approaches to treating patients.

With her experience as an educational consultant, she is hoping to not only care for her patients with acupuncture treatments, but also to educate them regarding their daily lifestyle and self-care practices. Jenny's passion and goal are to help her patients live healthier, happier lives through her holistic approach integrating acupuncture treatment, self-care, and herbal medicine.

In 2022, CalOptima Board appointed her to serve on the CalOptima Provider Advisory Committee as the Non-Physician Medical Practitioner Representative.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
