About Dr. Moreira
Jennifer Moreira, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at ThriveOB and Women's Wellness in Barrington, Illinois. Dr. Moreira has experience providing compassionate and comprehensive women’s care throughout every stage of life. She specializes in all aspects of general gynecology, focusing on minimally invasive surgery, evaluation and treatment of irregular and abnormal menstrual bleeding, abnormal Pap smears, and menopausal management.
Dr. Moreira graduated cum laude from Loyola University, Chicago, with a degree in biological psychology. Following college, she attended Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with honors. She completed her residency at a high-volume urban teaching institution, Mercy Hospital, and Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Moreira is in good standing and an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She is committed to teaching her patients about preventative care using advanced medical knowledge and a holistic technique, thereby supporting her patient’s health throughout all phases of a woman’s life.
Born in Chicago and raised in the western suburbs, Dr. Moreira is fluent in Spanish and is sensitive to the special needs of culturally diverse communities.
Dr. Moreira is a very proud mama to 4 amazing little boys and a lively and active Goldendoodle named Lola.

As a woman past my childbearing years, it's hard to feel special at the OB/Gyn - no excitement, no fetal heart tones to listen to, no pink/blue joy coming my way...but, Dr Moreira still makes me feel special! She is genuinely interested in my women's health needs, knowledgeable about aspects what I'm dealing with and how to have the best life possible, despite age. She took her time and explained every last detail, including my heart health and preventing gyne problems in the future. You don't see that often in today's physicians.... Thank you, Dr Moreira!!!
1. Door to office was locked and I had to call the front desk in order to get in. 2. 60 minutes of intake questions, even though I had filled out online, and paper in office. 3. Went for hormone testing and to inquire about HRT. Was told they do not do that there (although it says they do on their website). After being there for 90 minutes, I felt I still had no answers. On a positive, Doctor is very nice, as was staff.
Wonderful doctor , explains every detail that you need to know . Feel very comfortable with her .
The Doctor's care and concerns were very genuine and appropriate for, the situation in which we were seeing her for. She seems to genuinely care for our patients and want the best for them in every situation, regardless. Of the procedure, call practicality of the practice itself and its gains. I would recommend this practice to any woman wanting the best for their bodies and their families health. The doctors and nurse practitioners there really care.

Dr. Moreira is very personable and takes her time to get to know each patient and their individualized needs.
Dr Moreira delivered my healthy baby last month. She has been a nice and understanding doctor, and will spend enough time with you. I don’t know how she has so much energy to do what she does! She is running all over back and forth between the hospital and her clinic delivering babies and seeing patients all day and night.
