About Jennifer Jones

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, wife, nature-lover, and mom. First I focus on establishing rapport and ensuring you understand the process of therapy. We will clarify your goals, collaborate to create a treatment plan, identify what has helped you in the past, explore your strengths, and discuss outside support. I am in the process of becoming a "Registered Sandplay Practitioner" and have a sand tray and an extensive Sandplay collection of figures in my office. Through Sandplay, art, and dream work, I provide a contained space for the unconscious to come into the present. Strong feelings are often the result of unmet needs, so I also use my training in Nonviolent Communication to work with you to clarify those feelings and needs and practice communicating them (compassionately) to the significant people in your life. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to uncover how your belief system is influencing your emotions.
