About Jennelea Montanez

Jennelea Montanez, PA-C is Dr. Whitten’s physician assistant.  She grew up near North Platte, Nebraska.  She graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1998.  She then went on to complete a dietetic internship at Saint Louis University in 2000 and then a Master’s degree in Public Health at Saint Louis University in 2002.  It was during this time working as a graduate assistant in local St. Louis hospitals that she decided to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant.  She graduated with Honor’s from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004.

Jennelea has 15 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in multiple subspecialties including oncology and 4 years in pain management.  She joined Dr. Whitten at Nebraska Pain Institute in January 2019.  In her free time, Jennelea enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog as well as being involved in her church, reading, cooking, and traveling.
