Dr. Jeffrey H. Sherman has lived his entire life in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from UCLA in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, Dr. Jeffrey Sherman attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine. Dr. Jeffrey Sherman performed his internship at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. After completing a clinical fellowship in Digestive Diseases at UCLA, Dr Jeffrey Sherman started in private practice joining his father, Dr. James Sherman, in July of 2001.
Since 2002, Dr. Jeffrey Sherman has served as an Attending on outpatient clinics and rounds for the UCLA Gastroenterology fellowship training program. In 2003, Dr. Jeffrey Sherman served on the Board of Directors for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America and continues to devote his time to the organization. In addition, Dr. Jeffrey Sherman has been an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopists since 1998.
Dr. Jeffrey Sherman is a regular contributor on relevant gastroenterologic topics on the daytime television show, The Doctors, educating viewers on various Gastrointestinal issues such as parasites, the health risks of eating sushi, digestive issues and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr. Jeffrey Sherman was recently filmed performing an endoscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy on three patients, all of whom shared their results on the show. Dr. Jeffrey Sherman was the first physician to air an episode on colonoscopy screenings live from a blow up model of a colon.

I love Dr. Sherman. He surpassed my expectations by far! He didn't circumvent any parts of the appointment and was very very prompt, caring, empathetic, and extremely knowledgable. Several years ago I had a Gastric Bypass & after that surgery developed a stricture. I had an Endoscopy at ALVARADO Hospital & had major complications & almost lost my life due to this Hospital rupturing my esophagus! Years later after recovering saw Dr. Jeffrey Sherman who performed an Endoscopy & Colonoscopy even though I was scared to death to have this scope in my throat! I felt comfort with Dr Sherman. He reassured me that he would be able to go back through my Esophagus without any issues. I was relieved to get through this procedure & just had another Endoscopy & Colonoscopy 6 years later performed by Dr. Sherman. I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Sherman for his skill, kindness, & bedside manor that many other doctors lack!
By far one of the top 5 gastroenterologist in Los Angeles. Dr. Sherman is a wonderful guy, whom makes you comfortable in his experiences and knowledge. You never feel rushed. He spends time with you understanding your problem and taking the time to explain it to you. He likes what he does and it shows in how he cares for his patients. I can give no higher recommendation to this friendly and caring professional.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Sherman, a colonoscopy consultation. Couldn't have been a better experience, he put me at ease and took all the time needed to hear my history and explain the procedure. The office staff couldn't have been nicer or more efficient.

I had a great experience with Dr. Sherman. It's not common for a physician to actually come to the waiting area of an office and bring you back - it's usually a nurse who calls your name, brings you to an empty patient room and than says "the Dr. will be with you in a few minutes". That small gesture signaled to me this was going to be a very good experience. Dr Sherman was pleasant, listened to my concerns and symptoms, made small talk and took the time to speak with me. I highly recommend others to go to Dr. Sherman.
