Dr Petersen and his staff have treated my oral vascular malformation for a few years. I had seen 2 other physicians and he and another doc at his practice finally diagnosed it correctly. I recently required a more extensive procShow moreedure and all went smoothly. He is thorough, friendly, and takes care of business! Usually a few months to get in, but I usually get seen at appointments in a timely manner. My only comment would be he doesn’t give a lot of discharge instructions. However he cares and is skillful, so just ask the questions you have and he always has an answer!
Dr. Petersen and his staff members made my small cancer removal procedure a simple, painless, courteous, timely experience. There was minimal waiting, expliocit care instructions after the procedure, and immediate scheduling for Show morethe follow up visit. As doctor visits go, this was very professional.
Jeffrey E. Petersen, MD, FAAD, is a fellowship-trained dermatologist and MOHS surgeon at Missouri Dermatology Laser and Vein Center, which has locations in Fenton, Chesterfield, and O'Fallon, Missouri. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an active member of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of MOHS Surgery.
Dr. Petersen completed his dermatology training at Indiana University School of Medicine and a skin cancer fellowship in MOHS micrographic surgery and reconstruction at the University of Texas Southwestern. He has been practicing dermatology since 2000.
Dr. Petersen has been the Mohs surgeon and held Assistant Professor positions at both Indiana University and Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He has also lectured and taught both nationally and internationally about skin cancer and diseases of the lower extremities.
Having lived abroad in Europe, Dr. Petersen is conversant in French. Outside of the office, Dr. Petersen enjoys spending time with his family and coaching youth football and baseball.

Doctor and staff very professional. Answers all my questions in terms I can understand. The Mohs surgery is done in a very caring manner. I have been to many Mohs surgeons and Dr Petersen is definitely the best I have experienced.
Great Doctor with a good bed side manner. Is aware of pain threshold and takes time to explain what to watch for.
