Jeff Fernandez, PA, is a skilled physician assistant practicing at Seattle Spine Institute, located in Seattle, Washington. For over 17 years, Jeff has worked alongside Dr. Schwaegler as an integral member of his team.
Prior to his acceptance to the University of Washington School of Medicine’s MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program in 1998, Jeff had more than twenty years of experience in healthcare while serving our country in the U.S. Navy as an Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman.
Over the years, Dr. Schwaegler has provided Jeff with extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of patients with common and complex spine conditions. Consistent with Dr. Schwaegler’s patient evaluation and treatment philosophies, Jeff takes a competent, compassionate, and empathetic approach to patient care.
In the office, Jeff assists Dr. Schwaegler by evaluating patients and educating them on their conditions and treatment options. In the hospital, Jeff assists Dr. Schwaegler in surgery and helps him follow patients through their post-op recovery during the course of their hospital stay. Together they go over every patient’s condition and treatment decisions to ensure they are on track with what is best for each patient.
