Jeffrey Crespin, MD, has been a practicing gastroenterologist in Manhattan for more than 20 years and has convenient office locations across New York City in the Upper East Side, Midtown East, and Midtown West. As a board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Crespin strives to provide the highest quality medical care in a compassionate, professional, and personalized manner.
Dr. Crespin graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. After spending a year studying cinema, psychology, and literature at the Sorbonne in France, Dr. Crespin attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated with his medical degree. He then completed his internship and residency training through the University of Minnesota before rounding out his training with a fellowship in gastroenterology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to his medical education and training, Dr. Crespin has a Master of Business Administration from the New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business.
Before opening up his private practice, Dr. Crespin served as the director of the Columbia-St. Luke's Roosevelt GI clinic. He is expertly trained in endoscopic procedures, which allows for direct visualization of the intestinal tract for optimal diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, and colitis. To ensure his patients have access to the best care possible, Dr. Crespin conveniently offers same-day, late-hour, and weekend appointments.
Recognized as one of New York’s “Top Doctors,” Dr. Crespin is affiliated with NYU Lenox Hill Hospital, St. Luke's Roosevelt, and the Beth Israel hospitals. He is also a clinical assistant professor of medicine at NYU.

Dr. Crespin is a brilliant clinician, and I'm grateful he's my PCP and my gastroenterologist. He is great at diagnosing issues and has no hesitancy in recommending labs or another specialist. The Patient Portal on his website provides quick and easy direct communication with him. When calling his office, his friendly staff answer quickly and are great at forwarding your concerns to the doctor, as he becomes available between appointments.

Dr Crespin prescribed me medication that I never received. I called his office 3 times, spoke to 3 different people and still have not received a call back regarding my medication. How unprofessional.

I was able to schedule a new patient appointment the same day I requested the appointment via the website. The website scheduling was simple and fast. Dr. Crespin's office secured the referral authorization from my pcp and confirmed my appointment in under an hour. Dr. Crespin was ready for me at the scheduled time of my appointment (4:30 pm). In my experience late afternoon appointments usually end up starting much later than the scheduled time due to unexpected events resulting in a backupvas the day progresses. I was impressed with the office efficiency and timeliness. I was impressed with Dr. Crespin who was friendly, personable and took the time to discuss my case asking many probing questions to make sure he has a thorough understanding. He also took the time to explain the his recommended next steps, explaining the need to conduct an Endoscopy. And what we could expect to learn from it. We scheduled the procedure for the next week. Dr. Explained what i will need to do to prepare and what he would be doing. What I would be experiencing during the procedure and the possible temporary irritation i might feel immediately following the procedure.....Great experience, 5 Stars. I definitely would recommend Dr Crespin based on my experience.
