I went for a follow up to last vegas Neurology after I had Suffered a stroke bought on by a blood clot in my brain. The staff was very kind, professional and made me feel relaxed as they worked with me to find out how much I may Show morehave lost after this stroke. Remarkably I have done amazingly well. I have no paralysis and can walk and talk pretty much as I had prior to the stroke. They will be doing more testing later but I passed the initial phase. I would recommend Las Vegas Neurology to any who need that kind of care.
I love how efficient the entire practice was. My check in was smooth. My wait time in the lobby was almost no existent. Bernadette came in the room less than 5 mins of me being in the room and addressed all of my concerns and issuShow morees. Dr. Mahajan did the same and they both were warm, attentive, and had great bedside manners. The front desk staff were all equally nice and friendly.
Jay Mahajan, DO, is a board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over ten years. Born and raised on the West coast, he has anchored himself in Nevada and is dedicated to serving the Las Vegas community.
Dr. Mahajan was selected to be a member of the University of California at San Francisco's biomedical internship program at a young age, sparking his interest in medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley University and University of Southern California in biological sciences and biomedical ethics, where he was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Biology Scholar’s Program.
After achieving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Mahajan relocated to Nevada where he received his medical degree at Touro University Nevada. Upon completion of medical school here in the Valley, Dr. Mahajan felt invested in the Las Vegas community. Devoted to maintain his medical services, he accepted a position in the neurology residency program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas where he served as Chief Resident. He was awarded Resident of the Year honors in addition to awards for service excellence during his residency.
He is co-founder of Las Vegas Neurology Center and the primary neurologist for Centennial Hills Hospital. He was nominated and elected by his peers to serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Centennial Hills Hospital. In January 2016, he was selected as Outstanding Physician at Centennial Hill Hospital. He is also core faculty for the Neurology Residency Program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he thoroughly enjoys teaching residents and medical students. Practicing medicine and teaching is one of Dr. Mahajan’s greatest passions. During his free time he also enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.
Dr. Mahajan was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

My first visit was with Justin Armour and Dr. Jay Mahajan. They were both very patient and listened intently to my concerns. They gave me explicit details as to what to expect in next steps. I feel extremely blessed to have this team in my healing journey.

He totally exceeded my expectation.
I wasn’t able to see the doctor. The test that they wanted to do did not take my insurance. We didn’t even get to discuss the price that it would cost me if I paid out-of-pocket.So we never accomplished anything.? I don’t believe they realize that I have to drive 100 miles one way to my appointment.

Dr. Mahajan is fabulous, but it’s almost impossible to get through to the office and communication is impossible! Also, I always have to wait for months to get back test results. That can be dangerous and is scary! I wish he had a private practice with his own staff.

The RN I met with was a bit in a rush I didn't get a chance to go over the documents I was given but I do have a follow-up appointment.
Dr Mahajan never misses a thing. So helpful in my recovery and thorough! Would highly recommend.
