I went for a follow up to last vegas Neurology after I had Suffered a stroke bought on by a blood clot in my brain. The staff was very kind, professional and made me feel relaxed as they worked with me to find out how much I may Show morehave lost after this stroke. Remarkably I have done amazingly well. I have no paralysis and can walk and talk pretty much as I had prior to the stroke. They will be doing more testing later but I passed the initial phase. I would recommend Las Vegas Neurology to any who need that kind of care.
I had my first appointment with Dr. Jay Mahajan and Jennifer Walsh on Friday, the first of November. It was one of the most positive experiences I’ve had at a provider clinic. Jay Mahajan, DO, is a board-certified neurologist at Las Vegas Neurology Center. He has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over ten years. Born and raised on the West coast, he has anchored himself in Nevada and is dedicated to serving the Las Vegas community.
Dr. Mahajan was selected to be a member of the University of California at San Francisco's biomedical internship program at a young age, sparking his interest in medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley University and University of Southern California in biological sciences and biomedical ethics, where he was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Biology Scholar’s Program.
After achieving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Mahajan relocated to Nevada where he received his medical degree at Touro University Nevada. Upon completion of medical school here in the Valley, Dr. Mahajan felt invested in the Las Vegas community. Devoted to maintain his medical services, he accepted a position in the neurology residency program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas where he served as Chief Resident. He was awarded Resident of the Year honors in addition to awards for service excellence during his residency.
He is co-founder of Las Vegas Neurology Center and the primary neurologist for Centennial Hills Hospital. He was nominated and elected by his peers to serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Centennial Hills Hospital. In January 2016, he was selected as Outstanding Physician at Centennial Hill Hospital. He is also core faculty for the Neurology Residency Program at the Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he thoroughly enjoys teaching residents and medical students. Practicing medicine and teaching is one of Dr. Mahajan’s greatest passions. During his free time he also enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling.
Dr. Mahajan was awarded the Top Doctor Award for Top Neurologist 2016-2017 & Vegas Top Doctors 2020.

Drs.were great! My issue is regarding medication.I have been trying since last Tuesday to get my prescription filled.medication was not covered,co-pay was $1804.00! Pharmacy requested a prior authorization from your office.Per pharmacy none was received.called your office several times. A new request for prescriptions was sent to pharmacy. These also Need prior authorization. Pharmacy sent over a request today for prior authorization . Atena has also sent a request for prior authorizations ,Atena is requesting authorization to be expedited.Thank you

The doctors are nice but the wait time is crazy almost three hours and then the doctor can only be with you for 15 minutes I don't know the staff is super friendly too it's just the wait time is crazy

Dr Mahajan is a great doctor. He’s is so caring and very attentive to all my concerns. He is very thorough also. I would highly recommend him.
In the first 10 minutes, I was given a probable diagnosis for issues I have experienced my entire life (52 years). We still have testing to do to make sure it's correct, but it's the first time I didn't feel crazy talking to someone about my issues. I feel confident that even if this isn't the issue, they will keep digging until we find it.
