I was not kept in the waiting room for more than 10 min after checkin. My appt was at 9:50 I what X-rays, and saw the doctor and I was finished by 10:40.
Yes it was a great experience he is so gentle and kind Dr. Jason Piefer is awesome . He did a hip replacement on me years ago that turned out great too
Jason Piefer, MD, is an experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. He’s dual board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Piefer specializes in arthroscopy, orthopedic trauma, and shoulder, knee, and hip joint replacement.
He graduated from Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, where he co-captained the 1996 Texas 5A State Championship football team. Dr. Piefer graduated summa cum laude with honors and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. While there, he was an undergraduate research fellow.
Dr. Piefer received his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he received recognition as an outstanding student in orthopedic surgery. He completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he trained under team physicians for the University of Alabama, Auburn University, the Washington Redskins, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Piefer completed a sports medicine fellowship with United States ski team doctors at Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico. He was the orthopedic surgeon on the sidelines for numerous local high school teams and NCAA Division I football games.
He maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. Piefer actively assists local high school team athletes with sideline care and is affiliated with Iron Man Sports Medicine.

Personable and professional
Dr Piefer was my surgeon and had amazing bed side manner. His staff is incredible to work with which was highlighted by Chris Chakney in his office. They made me feel very comfortable and took their time reviewing things with me. This was the first major surgery I’ve ever had and they put me at ease with things. My post physical therapy was a big deal to me since I didn’t feel my hamstring was fully recovered. The team made sure to take their time listening to me while providing answers and additional resources to help with the recovery.
Patient and explained my alternatives in simple to understand lay language. Showed a favorable response when I told him the only relief I seemed to have gotten was meditative prayer.. I sense he is a Spirit sensitive and led doctor. <><

Doctor Piefer is a wonderful individual. Looked after my rotator cuff, which is as good as new now! I will be having a knee replacement in July and have all the confidence in the world that he will do a great job!

This is my first time visiting the office.Dr.Piefer.He made me feel very comfortable as I was kind of nervous.I had xrays taken of my right shoulder he showed them to me and explained in detail everything that was going on.He is very professional and I would recommend him to any one.

Unbelievable for this day in time!!! From the minute I walked in and was greeted by Paris, called back by a sweet young lady, then a kind young man took pictures I so apologize can’t remember their names My Bad then Chris came in and He is so very kind, calming, informative and it seemed like we had known Him forever as with Dr. Piefer as well so patient and didn’t seem rushed answered all our questions and concerns. I left and immediately felt such peace of mind. I’m so thankful my good friends referred me to this amazing office!
