I considered myself a problem patient after being in the hospital, and no one able to give me a diagnosis. I'm only 43 and didn't visit the doctor very often unless it was for the common cold. I went to see Dr. Wells and he fixed Show moreme right up. He was very educational with regards to finding what was causing my illness, he listened to understand and then explained all the things we could rule out immediately. His staff was super friendly and helpful. As you all know sometimes we speak with the physicians staff more than the actual doctor, and each time I called, be it medication refill or referral to a specific specialists, Dr. Wells team members had it handled. I would definitely recommend Calvary Medical Humble location.
Finally! A doctor who comes in, sits, listens, and discusses the hows, why's and game plan. Explained what he believes is the problem, what meds he's prescribing and next step. Super nice! Definitely recommend Calvary Urgent Care Show more(appointment or walk in) and absolutely recommend Dr. Wells if you need to schedule to sit with a doctor. He doesn't rush through to get to the next patient. Thank you for making my daughter feel validated and heard. Came in with knee pain and fluid on knee.

After graduating with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Wells began practicing Family Medicine at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. He eventually moved to Selma Family Health Care, where he continued to practice Family Medicine, until he opened his own private practice, J. Darrick Wells MD, Inc., in 1996. Dr Wells continued to provide Family Medical Care for 22 years, before transitioning into the Urgent Care field of medicine.
Dr. Wells’ awards are numerous and extensive, including: the Richard D Steed Scholar Award, the All-Academic Award, the Associated Press Honorable-Mention, & Phi Beta Kappa. During his college years, he was the Team Captain for the Rice University Football team, he received the American Spirit award, the George R. Brown Most Valuable Receiver award, the All-Southwest Conference Receiver award, and was inducted into the Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame.
After becoming a doctor, the leadership positions that he has held are even more copious, including:

Dr. Wells is great, but the nurse who stood around the corner from the waiting area was out of line for yelling my name out. I felt she should have came in the waiting area and said my name. This is not the first time she has done this. I asked her why she was yelling my name out and her answer was out of line.
Dr. Wells is very polite and professional and always ask about how you are doing and how you are feeling.
Very friendly at check-in, taking vitals, & Dr Wells very informative & kind. A very nice experience.
Came in with an eye infection and Dr. Wells knew exactly what it was. He called in some antibiotic eye drops and I was able to pick them up on my way home. I love Dr. Wells, he is an excellent doctor and I never have to wait long to see him.

Dr. Wells is a very kind, intelligent & caring man when it comes to his patients. I had a slip & fall & was transported to ER. After C-Scans & x rays was told nothing was broken, just bruised ribs. Was sent home with nothing for pain. On Monday morning needed something but couldn't make it into his office. He video called me & called in something for pain for me. He truly shows he cares for his patients. 2 thumbs

Dr. Wells is awesome. I am old and don't always understand what he is saying. He is very patient and will continue to help me understand even if he has to draw pictures on the exam bed paper. I never want to see anyone else but Dr. Wells.
