I never seem rushed when I see Dr. Beegan and he explains why he recommends a certain brace for me. He is the best if you have a muscular skeletal issue. My issue is due from getting polio at a young age and having no mobility in Show moremy lower extremity.

James Beegan, MD, is a double-board-certified physiatrist and electrodiagnostic medicine specialist at the Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), providing high-quality neurology care to adults at the Centerville office. Other DCND-staffed office locations include Beavercreek, Springfield, Eaton, Wilmington, Hillsboro, and Vandalia, Ohio.
Dr. Beegan began his education at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, earning his Bachelor of Science in English and biological services. Then, he enrolled at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. Beegan completed an internal medicine internship at Mt. Carmel Health System (formerly Mt. Carmel Medical Center) in Columbus, Ohio, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Ohio State University Hospitals, also in Columbus. Dr. Beegan excelled in these programs, earning the title of chief resident.
Dr. Beegan diagnoses and treats various neurological disorders, but he has a special interest in spasticity management and electromyography (EMG).
Dr. Beegan has decades of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Beegan’s dedication and hard work haven’t gone unnoticed. He received the Grandview Change of Heart Award in 2006 and the High Achieving Team Award for the Neuro-Rehab and Balance Center from the Kettering Health Network in 2010.
Outside of work, Dr. Beegan enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children.

From start to finish, the staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful, with me and with their coworkers. The culture being created there was a sight to behold. 10 outta 10, would get shocked and poked again.

Dr. Beegan is the most sincere, caring, kind and professional Physician I have been to. I have been a patient at DCND since 2011, I get EMGs every four years due to neurological issues and I request him every time. He will carry on a conversation with you as he works or just quietly do his testing if you prefer (except for his apologies for the pain of the test). I would recommend anyone needing an EMG request Dr. Beegan, I can't praise him enough.
