Heather Bortz is a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) who joined SNHIMA in 2022. She serves patients at the Bedford office and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Before joining SNHIMA, Heather worked as a Physician Assistant at New England Allergy in North Andover, MA. Her professional journey also includes a background in respiratory therapy, with 15 years of experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in both Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
Heather pursued her undergraduate education at Penn State University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Life Science. She continued her academic journey at MCPHS Manchester, where she completed her master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Her commitment to lifelong learning and education ensures that she stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in healthcare.
Outside of her busy schedule caring for patients, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family. She and her husband reside in New Boston and have two children. Her interests include beach outings, camping adventures, maintaining an active lifestyle, and cheering for the Philadelphia Flyers. Heather is an excellent provider at SNHIMA. She's thorough in her assessment of your needs, conscientious, if she doesn't have an answer she will get you one, has no issue going after information to help better educate you, she speaks to you and not at you. She's not a provider who will over medicate you, she listens and hears what it is you're saying, has incredible patience, a great sense of humor and takes things head one. She's an excellent advocate for you, she does everything within her scope of understanding and education to ensure your needs are taken care of and then some. She is your ally and will not allow your needs to be placed by the wayside. She was kind and attentive, and very patient with my questions. After examination, she laid out a treatment plan and thoroughly answered all my questions. Great first impression of the practice.
Heather helped me above and beyond what she had to do. She wrote a request to Cora Physicians that actually got me an appointment that I was not able to get on my own
She was very professional. She listened to the medical issues, that I am having and allowed me to think about her recommendations of tests I will need. She didn't rush through my appointment. I will have a follow-up with my Primary Physician in August.
