Dentist was not concerned as to why I came in and the cleaning of my teeth I have not had in a year you would think they would have do e a deep cleaning but they didn't, I'm looking for another Dentist any recommendations??

the lady who took my x rays, ariah, she gets 5 stars. i am a person with high anxiety, my mother was researching dentists and we thought this would be the best one. so we made an appointment with dr lee. very unfortunately, we had to change my appointment and i got stuck with dr chi. back track a little: the person who polished my teeth didn’t introduce herself nor would she call me by my name. it was extremely uncomfortable to be called pet names while someone’s hands are in your mouth. ex: baby girl, sister, cutie, sissy. not professional. she also did not let me know before switching tools and it took me by surprise. she dug into my gums so violently while flossing, that i was still spitting up blood 30 minutes later. chi came in. he asked if i was there for A cavity. i said im aware i have a few, and yes that’s the reason im here. he laughed at me and said “yeah. a few” he did not tell me i have 18 cavities. i asked him how many there were and he didn’t answer. he wants me to have surgery to take my singular wisdom tooth out, and when i explained that i might not want an invasive surgery because my tooth is not causing me pain, he dismissed that and said i need an extraction. later i find out that my roots are grown in sideways and that’s why he suggested surgery. chi did a cleaning on my teeth, directly after finishing, he said “okay see you next time” and walked out. the person who gave me my bill told me how many cavities i have and WHY i should get my wisdom tooth out. over all, the staff was pleasant, but my experience with doctor chi and the technician who polished my teeth is why im leaving a 1 star review.

Worst experience of my entire life !!! I was referred for 2 extractions. When they sat me down they didn't ask if I was breastfeeding ..which I am.. they didn't ask if I was allergic to any medication which I am (penicillin) the dentist comes in takes the numbing gel rubs it on both teeth and immediately starts STABBING ME with the novacane in my gums. The dental assistant and dentist both weren't saying much of anything. After he stabbed me with the numbing he IMMEDIATLEY STARTS RIPPING OUT MY WISDOM TOOTH THAT WAS PARTIALLY BROKEN. He didn't wait at all for the numbing to kick in or test to see if I could feel anything! Which I could!! I start yelling because it hurts extremely bad because he didn't wait for the numbing to do its job and the dental assistant says YOU HAVE TO TRY NOT YELL! I then begin shaking and crying and the dentist says do you still feel that.. I say yes and he says ok this going to hurt but I'm going to have to numb you more and starts stabbing me in the roof of my mouth! I was so shocked up by this experience that I had to wait to drive away because I was shaking so badly. Dr. Chi was extremely rough and not friendly at all!! I'm 33 years old and have never experienced such trauma like what I was put through at this dental office !!! If you go here DON NOT GET DR CHI! I WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF I COULD !!!!!
Let's face it No one wants to see a Dentist. But that's because you haven't been to the University Smiles Clinic. Not only is the staff helpful and knowledgeable but when you have to have a Bunch of teeth pulled, like I did, and there is NO PAIN from start through the healing process, that is Wonderful, I mean NO Pain at all, I would Highly recommend this Dentist to my Family and Friends. GREAT TEAM of Dentist's, THANK YOU!!!

This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. My family have been going with them for a complicated process (Implant, Root Canal, Crown, etc) and then for keeping up and cleaning. Every visit is like visiting friends. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Especially thanks to Dr. Chi for or generosity and kindness!! Thank you all!!

Malia went out of her way to explain every step of the financial breakdown for my surgery. When I told her I had lost confidence in my smile and I can’t wait to get it back as I filling out my paperwork, she looked at me and said, “That right there is why I work in the dental industry” I can’t recommend University Place Smiles more. Great dentist I have bad anxiety and ptsd and have been scared of dentist for a long time they didnt put me through any scary trauma other dentist have and got my teeth out without me hurting or freaking out
