Dr. Zakas was born and raised in the suburban region of Boston, Massachusetts. He pursued his medical education at A.T. Still University, attending the first two years of medical school in Kirksville, Missouri, and the subsequent two years in the Phoenix valley. During his early days in Phoenix, he developed a strong affinity for the area and was determined to return after completing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2013, Dr. Zakas moved back to Phoenix and completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine in 2014.
Currently, Dr. Zakas specializes in providing treatment for joint and spinal pain, sports-related injuries, and injuries resulting from motor vehicle collisions. He has extensive experience in performing fluoroscopically-guided procedures and significant sub-specialty training in orthobiologic treatments.
During his leisure time, Dr. Zakas enjoys exploring new destinations, hiking, and indulging in writing pursuits.

Great experience as always
I have been seeing Dr Gollapalli at Integrity Pain & Wellness in the Scottsdale office for chronic back pain. I have to say I am very impressed with the way he includes me with the planning of my procedures and care. He takes the time to listen to me and discuss any concerns that I may have. That means alot to me. I also want to say, the office staff are very friendly and caring.
I met Rhonda C. for the first time. She made the initial exchange warm with a smile, listened attentively, & asked polite, & concise questions. She also shared some positive advice & options. Gr8 bedside manner.
The desk staff were kind and humorous, and the Dr. was attentive and quick thinking

I am so thankful for the care I receive from Dr. Gollapolli. He has become very familiar with my severe back problems, joint issues, neuropathic pains and widespread arthritis issues. Since being under his care, I rarely use my wheelchair, which speaks volumes. I get lasting relief from every procedure he performs and I am very grateful to be his patient. As a new patient, I am happy with my doctor but not happy when it came to my medication refill needing to be sent in on a Friday and it was forgotten about leaving me w/out, sick all wknd and having to cancel plans, even after I called to remind them on Friday that I needed them!!! Very upset and disappointed in them for this part.

I was a nervous mess coming into my appointment. I have had a bad experience in the past with another pain management provider. I was being defensive because of my distrust. Dr Gollapalli was very kind and I felt heard for the first time. I’m a crier when I’m scared or have high anxiety. The entire staff was kind and understanding. I look forward to furthering my treatment and healing.

Always treated with SMILES and pleasantries!! New and improved treatments as well as cutting edge medical equipment is always recommended in lieu of Pain Meds if possible Randi is the GREATEST!! She is so empathetic to your needs and expectations.
