Dr. Shienbaum received his Doctor of Medicine degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He performed his medical internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases & Surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Shienbaum is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. Shienbaum’s clinical interests include advanced treatments for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular hole, macular pucker, retinal vascular disease, retinal detachment, complications of cataract surgery, and ocular infection & inflammation. He has authored numerous scientific peer-reviewed publications on vitreoretinal diseases and has presented his research at both local and national meetings.

Very good and professional
Many tests are done prior to receiving my required injection now spaced with 10 weeks in between. Vision is checked and pictures are taken regarding my left eye. Everything went well. I was concerned that maybe the picture of my back of my eye wasn't clear or didn't come out right

All of the staff are pleasant and are well trained for their position. They keep the appointments pretty much on time. Dr. Sheinbaum is pleasant and keeps you informed about your eyes.
Normally, it takes 30 minutes, including the examination, to see the doctor, but this time I had to wait two hours.

To be brief, I was very very apprehensive about this Procedure. As it turns out my concern And fear Was very Unnecessary. The The procedure was painless And the Doctors skill noteworthy in my view.
Still seeing spots at 7:30pm seems to be water covering the eye. But no pain just spots.
