Being new to this type of surgery Dr. Bong provided what he felt was necessary for me to know. The questions I have are outside of those notes. However that comes with healing and understanding the healing process. We live in aShow more quick fix or immediate gratification society, healing takes time. Nine years ago Dr. Bong removed a kidney cancer with robotic surgery and it was a good experience. With his compassionate approach and excellent surgical expertise, Gary Bong, M.D., is a well-respected member of the CSUA: Woodmen team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He specializes in laparoscopic surgeries, including laparoscopic cryotherapy for kidney cancer as well as daVinci® robotic surgery for prostatectomy and cystectomy procedures.
Dr. Bong attended medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation, he completed his general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, earning the distinction of being recognized as Intern of the Year. He then stayed at the Medical University of South Carolina to complete his residency training in urology, with an emphasis on minimally invasive oncologic surgery.
In addition to work with CSUA: Woodmen, Dr. Bong is the Chief of Robotic Urologic Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the best surgical urologic care possible.

I have been a patient at this practice for more than 20 years, first with Dr. Bob Biggars and now with Dr. Bong. I have complete confidence in Dr. Bong. Friendly and shows he cares for you and puts your mind at ease. And has always asks if you have any questions.
I thought when I came out of there I would have all my questions answered and I did not. I wanted to know what I could do about my enlarged prostate and we never did get to the subject although I side mentioned it a few times. Also wanted to find out if I could do anything about the constant urgency. I still don't know how I can fix that. He did answer my main question and that was what to do with my relatively small hydrocele. He said just leave it alone. So I'm hoping someone calls me back from their office and answers these questions for me. I always get asked to give a review but I never get paid for it. I think someone should call you and follow up in person instead of just sending you out of review when the doctor's appointment was only yesterday. You get no time to really think about what you would put in a review but you do think about the things that you wish you would have stayed and asked. This is the one time when I would have liked someone to say "Is there anything else?"
