With his compassionate approach and excellent surgical expertise, Gary Bong, M.D., is a well-respected member of the CSUA: Woodmen team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He specializes in laparoscopic surgeries, including laparoscopic cryotherapy for kidney cancer as well as daVinci® robotic surgery for prostatectomy and cystectomy procedures.
Dr. Bong attended medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation, he completed his general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, earning the distinction of being recognized as Intern of the Year. He then stayed at the Medical University of South Carolina to complete his residency training in urology, with an emphasis on minimally invasive oncologic surgery.
In addition to work with CSUA: Woodmen, Dr. Bong is the Chief of Robotic Urologic Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the best surgical urologic care possible.

Connie my nurse was very nice. My veins are very hard to find and she did a great job. The anesthesiologist was very personable and answered all my questions. I was never nauseous. He put a patch behind my ear and it helped. My surgery went well and I had no pain. I would definitely recommend Dr Bong.
100% satisfied with my visit. Ms Abbott understood my problems with what I am going thru and saw my needs and fulfilled them while there. She may be a mind reader.... figuring out what to do as we spoke. I am so happy and confident I will always get the best care with her possible.
