Gabriel S. Levi, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and the director of joint reconstruction and sports medicine at Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Centers, with locations in Lincoln Square and Wicker Park, Chicago. In addition to his specialization of joint replacement and arthroscopy surgeries of the knee, hip, and shoulder, Dr. Levi utilizes the latest advances in orthopaedic medicine, including minimally invasive surgery, bloodless surgical techniques, computer-assisted surgery, and various methods of cartilage repair and restoration.
He recognizes every patient has a different level of injury to bones and joints and customizes treatment to their unique needs. While Dr. Levi enjoys helping patients with joint replacement surgery, he prefers to use other treatments to manage symptoms as long as possible before scheduling surgical procedures.
After surgery, Dr. Levi’s patients have access to a fully staffed physical therapy department onsite at Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Centers for a carefully managed and accelerated recovery.
Dr. Levi earned his doctoral degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where, for his excellence in patient care, he received the prestigious Leonard Weinstein, MD, award. Committed to lifelong education, Dr. Levi went on to complete a joint reconstruction and sports medicine fellowship at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York City. As a published author, national and international meetings have presented Dr. Levi’s research.
To facilitate effective communication with his patients, Dr. Levi is fluent in both Spanish and English. He welcomes new and existing patients to Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Centers.

I am a tennis enthusiasts sadly due to left knee torn meniscus I was forced to stop playing , it was painful; thanks to Dr. Levi, knee surgery, I go back to play tennis at least couple days a week and take long walks around my neighborhood, am happy and grateful for surgery results.

My experience with Dr Levi, PA Maxx, the Physical therapist, coordinator and Staff has been an awesome experience. Everyone at the office knows me by name. The greet me with respect. He’s a great doctor very caring polite man. Puts you in the best of care makes sure your doing well in the hospital before surgery. And also when you leave the hospital they make sure to check on you to see how you’re doing I’ve never experienced that in my life. But it felted good to have a doctor that actually cares about his patients

Dr. Levi takes his time to explain you surgeries as well as answering any questions you may have about them. He is also able to discus alternative therapies that may exist for your issues. I highly recommend Dr. Levi for any orthopedic conditions that he treats.
Dr Levi and his team are very approachable and profesional. My father in law (82 year old) had a right knee replacement surgery in October 2023 and 5 months later left knee replacement surgery. Recovery goes well, he is well informed about all details and updates from dr Levy team. He is happy and thankful for orthopedic doctors choice.

Dr Levi is a true professional . He did surgery and he assured me that pain would be minimum. It was tolerable and I was in the hospital and out by early afternoon . Physical therapy has been good and reasonable for my current skill. I would recommend Dr Levi and his Physical therapy team to anyone who requires surgery. Paperwork dept may be slightly confusing abut inquires are reviewed in a timely fashion.

Staff are very nice did not wait that long. Dr Levi is very supportive to his patients, I for one who is very nervous because I hate needles but Dr Levi explained everything that he would do and allowed me to calm down.
