Fernanda Salgado, MD, is a skilled dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is committed to providing the highest quality dermatologic care to her patients at Dermatology Arts in South Pasadena, California.
Dr. Salgado completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in biology. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and served as chapter Vice President. Based on her outstanding dedication to patient care, she was also honored to be one of a handful of students elected by her peers and faculty to serve in the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Salgado completed her internship at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and her residency training in Dermatology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She received extensive training in a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders.
Dr. Salgado’s clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, pigmentary and inflammatory skin disorders, as well as skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. Outside work, Dr. Salgado enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and doing outdoor activities. She also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.

Dr Salgado is very knowledgable of her field and considers what is best for the patient at all times. She is very thorough at explaining things with clear illustrations when necessary. She works with the patient closely to find the best solution from various perspectives - patient comfort, quality of life, side effects, insurance coverage, etc. She is a dependable doctor that I can always rely on.

Excellent care and service.
As a 57-year old, I see Dr. Salgado for my annual body scans as well as well as facial anti-aging treatments. I find Dr. Salgado to be very thorough when conducting body scans and highly knowledgeable and effective in the application of anti-wrinkle treatments and product recommendations. In the past 6 months, I honestly see a significant improvement in my facial complexion - less blemishes and less wrinkles - I am very happy with the results thus far.
