Everybody very friendly, all the staff. Doctors and assistant's are very nice and professional. I enjoy my visit there. I just wish I didn't half to go, but I do and I enjoy everybody there.
Erika Franco, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at the four Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Institute offices in Victorville, Pomona, and Barstow, California. She sees patients in the office and assists the surgeons in the operating room.
Ms. Franco is passionate about educating and serving her patients while monitoring their progress and guiding them back to a healthy quality of life.
Ms. Franco earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the Dominican University of California in San Rafael. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ms. Franco worked as a registered nurse in an operating room, where she discovered a passion for working with patients during surgical procedures.
She decided to further her education to become a family nurse practitioner and obtained her master’s degree at the United States University of California in San Diego.
Being a former college athlete, Ms. Franco personally understands the injuries athletes endure and what they need for treatment and rehabilitation to return to their sports and daily activities. She is committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care at all times.

Very difficult to get a live person on the phone, sometimes prescriptions aren’t sent to pharmacy. And it takes a long time to get an appointment. Erica is very good as are the physicians.

Erica Franco has been fabulous for me and helping me to get better and walking again after having a Tibal Plateau Fracture that required plates and screws. Its been a long process for me. Dr. Franco is beyond wonderful. She explains your diagnosis well and let's you asks all the questions you want. She gives you all the time you need and never seems rushed
Ms Franco is exceptional, but I made a hard decision and did not have the questions to ask. Erika gave me the basic responses; some are now creating a negative in my decision to have shoulder surgery. I am not familiar with the procedure outlined and would prefer to NOT experience the "reverse" surgery. I was not shown my x-rays which might have provided the reason for a "reverse" procedure, but having experienced two "old-fashioned" hip replacements creates doubts in my mind about this new method. I need more information pro and con to solidify or detract my decision. Or, perhaps a 2nd opinion?
