Erik Soine, MD, is a Louisiana-bred dermatologist and the founder of Soine Dermatology & Aesthetics in Covington and Hammond, Louisiana.
Dr. Soine graduated Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in biological science. He continued on at LSU, earning his medical doctorate, then completing his residency in both dermatology and internal medicine.
Raised in Mandeville, Dr. Soine has deep roots in Louisiana and has always had a passion for leadership and giving back. He has volunteered in Sierra Leone, Africa, helping assess the state of health care; he has traveled on both medical and dental missions to Granada, Nicaragua, through the Archdiocese of New Orleans; and he helped run a temporary hospital following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Soine feels equally as passionate about educating his patients as well as upcoming medical professionals. Dr. Soine taught medical students basic examination skills and led discussions with 1st-year medical students on topics such as medical ethics.
He is an assistant professor in the department of dermatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and serves as part-time LSU faculty at the Department of Veteran Affairs in New Orleans.
Dr. Soine is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatological Surgery, Louisiana State Medical Society, and Past President of the Louisiana Dermatological Society. Dr. Soine is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology Electronic Health Records Implementation Task Force.
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Soine enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca, a fellow dermatologist, and their three children. Dr. Soine was also part of the LSU Fighting Tigers Marching Band, playing the tenor saxophone.

I find Dr. Sonie to be very thorough and friendly and has a very personable office staff. Scheduling an appointment is easy and I truly appreciate the doctor always seeing me on time

The team is professional and courteous. Dr. Erik Soine is the best! He is caring, professional, knowledgeable, a good listener, honest, and thorough. He takes his time doing skin checks and I never feel rushed. I highly recommend Soine Dermatology.
Dr Soine is one of best ! He caught a pre-melanoma on my arm and did the surgery right away!! Hardly a scar. He’s diligent and a very caring dr.

Dr Erick Soine is the best dermatologist I have ever experienced! He is personable & listens to me while giving his expert opinion. The staff is also really nice. My husband also sees him & thank God for that because he found skin cancer on my husband that could have been deadly. I highly recommend Dr.Soine!!!
