I went in to Re-new to explore possibly going on Tirzepatide because I have struggled with my weight over the last several years. At my age, weight loss is harder to do with a busy schedule, and it was time to do something for my Show morehealth. I went in for initial bloodwork and was honestly floored by how comprehensive it was. They tested for more things than my normal doctor does, and the results helped shed light on what could be contributing to the symptoms I was having and how best to resolve them. I met with Emily to go over my results and she was so thorough and genuinely seems to care about me as a person. This was not a typical visit to the doc where you’re rushed in and out. She took time to get to know me and my lifestyle. She answered any question I could think of and gave me a plan to follow. I went in to my appointment apprehensive, and left feeling empowered. This is just the start of my journey with Re-new, but I have confidence in the whole team there. If you are considering weight loss injections, aesthetic procedures, or hormone treatment, make an appointment! You won’t regret it!

Emily Patera, APRN, is a kind and passionate family nurse practitioner specializing in anti-aging, hormone health, functional medicine, preventive care, and aesthetics.
Emily provides high quality and individualized care to all patients at Re-new Institute in Omaha, Nebraska.
Originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, Emily was very active in athletics. Growing up, she knew she would go into the field of medicine.
Emily started working in the physical therapy department at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital at age 16. She felt nursing would allow her to build relationships with patients and provide medical care.
In 2004, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She worked in the Trauma and Transplant ICU at Nebraska Medicine, where she saw firsthand the complications of chronic diseases and the role preventative medicine could play.
Emily completed her master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) in 2008 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, specializing in Family Practice. Her career began at Methodist Physicians Clinic, providing chronic and acute care to men, women, and children.
Eventually, Emily moved closer to home and worked at Nebraska Medicine Eagle Run Health Clinic from 2016 through 2022. She built strong relationships with clients, helping them achieve overall health and wellness goals.
Watching people change their lives through exercise, diet, and lifestyle modifications encourages her to look outside traditional medical practices.
Emily has a broad knowledge of diabetes, hypertension, women’s health, men’s health, sports medicine, and mental health.
She understands people are individuals and that what works for one may not work for another. She is driven to find the underlying cause of patient’s unique health concerns and illnesses.
Emily takes a team approach to achieving personal health goals. She enjoys building relationships and working together through education and empowerment. She wants patients to feel listened to and treated with compassion and respect.

Ms. Prickett is great! She takes the time to ensure you really understand your test results and options. I can't recommend all of the re-new staff enough. I have been to other similarly advertised businesses in Omaha and re-new far surpasses them all.

NP Patera was patient and allowed me to actually discuss my issues. This is the first time I’ve felt heard by a provider in a long time. I felt like she had all the time in the world to spend with me, she never cut me off which happens so often at a provider’s office. NP Patera was professional but I also felt very comfortable with her and able to be completely honest with my issues without guilt or shame.
