She is Great person
She is kind, understanding and a great listener. I know we will make break throughs together. So happy to have found her.
Absolutely wonderful. Ellenie is an experienced and exceptional professional counselor. She has helped our family tremendously. Thank you for everything you do.
Lack of experience and out of touch with the client and the parent of the client. There were so many times of seeking help and ideas to assist with my son with his behavior and home and all of my cries for help fell on deaf ears, ignored and the lack of guidance was a big issue. There was a disconnect and lack of common ground. She provided no direction, clinical expertise or overall knowledge of the situation. We asked for a male or a different therapist a month ago and still no follow up or update, no answers at all. My son said he just didn’t want to be with her anymore. There were so many problems with this agency and it started with an inexperience student intern with a large ego. We tried to give them a chance but they failed us horribly. I had to go and seek help from others, which the help they suggested was beneficial and produced positive outcomes for my son. Hudson River Counseling and their staff was not helpful. After many month of asking for help for psych evaluation and medication for my son, they pointed us in a direction that was counterintuitive and delayed care. Again, finally with the help of other outside assistance that we inquired about help us get our son on a medication regimen that has been effective, he still has some progress to be made but I am relieved that we got some much needed help with those who are competent, knowledgeable and down right cares. I felt so unsupported at Hudson River Counseling. Hudson River need a revision of their agency goals, mission and vision to find solutions for situations that are difficult than others.
Michael is a patient and insightful listener. One senses he has genuine interest in getting a full understanding of who you are.
Michael is an exceptional therapist. I’ve worked with quite a few therapists over the years and I would have to say that therapy with Michael has been a game changer for me. I feel truly understood, and that his perceptiveness has been demonstrated by his analysis and distillation of the core issues I’ve brought into the room. Michael is very supportive and empathic. In just 6 months I feel an easing up of my anxiety and sadness, moving towards a much healthier place. He has a thorough working command of several therapeutic modalities, both in theory and clinical application.
Michael Buckhout is an empathetic and warm presence, with a clear perspective on the work they do with the client. I am often amazed at our time together, where I feel guided towards the complex, nuanced explanations for the concerns I have. Thank you Michael
Very kind, compassionate and insightful. Finding a new therapist can be a adopting task, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of knowledge, understanding and empathy that Ellenie displays during our sessions.
Finding this practice in general, and specifically working with Michael as my therapist has been transformative. I could not recommend highly enough.
Rachel is the most loving and caring person I know. My kids always leaves her office happy and looking forward to her next session.
Michael is warm, engaging, and insightful. I find he is able to tailor our sessions to the particular needs I have each day. Best therapist experience of my life!
This is my first time in therapy and my experience has been exceptional.
Patient and kind
Erin Heaslip helped me a great deal, and I’ve improved since seeing her. I am however still trying to work out a billing issue with my visits
Erin is the first therapist I have had any experience with. She was a good fit, as we had a similar background. She was empathetic and gentle with her suggestions for dealing with my issues. She was also very good at encouraging and allowing me to talk. She seemed to remember everything I said and was able to find connections. My only complaint would be that I would have liked a therapist closer to my age. My being 30 years older than Erin meant that she had not experienced many of the life challenges I have experienced.
I’m very satisfied with Michael’s treatment plan, his efforts to understand my concerns, he is great listener but also goes well beyond validation into effective therapy and the establishment of a solid therapeutic alliance.
Always helpful and accommodating
Excellent experience. I found you to be very friendly and I was completely at ease speaking with you. Looking forward to future sessions!
Very good terapista
Miss Torres is amazing. My daughter really looks forward to seeing her and she’s helped her make some great strides.
challenging and attentive
Ally allows me to open up without pushing. She takes her time and when she sees that things are getting a little to heavy in the session she changes the subject to something she knows I enjoy to allow me to take a much needed moment to regain myself.
Mixed impressions: I liked Michael and felt that therapy with him could work out, although one never knows after only one session. I was disappointed with the physical space. Therapy room felt cramped- I’d prefer a bit more comfortable distance between the therapist and me. The waiting room felt very untidy, even dirty, and I would not feel happy sitting there.
Helped a lot.
She goes above and beyond. We appreciate all her efforts. She has been such a wonderful help to our child and our family.
Rachel is amazing and very loving.
Wonderful therapist very patient and always a pleasure to go to sessions
Rachel is patient, kind, and considerate when dealing with our daughter. She helps her to come up with the best ways to deal with her anxiety and how to navigate the world as a teenager.
