About Dr. Ellen Tepiltz, MD

Her expertise in skin rejuvenation and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment have made her one of our most sought-after physicians.

Utilizing the latest therapies, such as laser surgery, topical chemotherapy and cosmeceuticals -- products that have both cosmetic and therapeutic effects – she works to prevent and treat a wide range of sun damage and non-melanoma skin cancer. She also helps to turn back the clock on patients’ complexions with topical medications and dermal fillers, including BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM®.

Board certified in dermatology, dermatologic surgery and internal medicine, Dr. Teplitz has nearly four decades of experience. Before joining West Derm, she ran a busy private practice in Tuckahoe, NY. During that time, she also served as Chief of Dermatology at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, where she continues to lecture residents on skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Since 1990, Dr. Teplitz has also been affiliated with the Dermatology Department at Montefiore Medical Center, where she currently teaches dermatologic surgery to residents.

Dr. Teplitz belongs to multiple professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Board of Dermatologic Surgery and the New York State Medical Society. Working out of West Derm’s Yonkers office, Dr. Teplitz treats adults of all ages and ethnic groups.

Active in community service, she has performed skin cancer screenings at Montefiore Medical Center, St John’s Hospital and Lawrence Hospital, and set up skin cancer prevention protocols for the Maryknoll sisters at the behest of the New York Catholic Archdiocese.

She is glad to be a member of the West Derm family. “I’m happy doing what I like to do,” she says. “Practicing medicine!”
