Dr Lins office has been really great. Enrique always listens to my pain stories and is always willing to help. I will say the only really bad thing about this office is it takes FOREVER to get leave paperwork filled out and submitShow moreted. I’ve almost had employment issues because of it.
I have seen Dr Lin for issues for a number of years - she is compassionate about helping you and takes time. She cares about her patients. I have a return appointment and hope she can help with the pain I am currently having.
Ellen Lin, MD, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician and pain management specialist at Advanced Spine and Pain Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Lin graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then went on to complete her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) with some of the top neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, sports medicine and electromyography specialists, geriatricians, orthopedists, and internists.
Following her residency, she completed fellowship training at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and the UTHealth Houston. Her extensive training has given her the unique ability to empathize with her patients’ pain conditions.
She decided to pursue a career in PM&R because it allowed her to focus on restoring patients’ quality of life through all-encompassing treatment plans. With a strong emphasis on the patient’s unique health needs, Dr. Lin is able to develop comprehensive care plans that help them regain full function and improved well-being.
At Advanced Spine and Pain Center, Dr. Lin is excited to be a part of the team to deliver compassionate, patient-focused solutions to alleviate pain and help you thrive in your daily life. Outside of the office, she is an interventional pain management specialist at the Texas Center for Athletes.

Have been seeing Dr Lin for several years and have never been disappointed with her services.

She is very caring and knowledgeable. I was in pain and was an "add on" and my needs were met.
I felt that the only thing that she was interested in was the new procedure she was pushing. She never listened to me. She came in so fast and left so fast without a dressing my concerns. She gave me a pamphlet and walk out. She did not give me and my husband time to say anything. She spent less than five minutes with us, and then sent someone else in to speak with us and my husband told her assistance that we are not interested in that surgery the only she said call me when you are and then she left. we felt very disrespected I will never go back to her, and I advise everyone to run !!

Dr. Lin is the premier pain doctor in Ssn Antonio. Her explanations are very thorough and before you have any procedures, you totally understand what’s going to happen. She listens well and makes excellent suggestions based on what she sees in MRI, x/ray, etc. I have seen her for two different situations over the last 10 years and have found her to be excellent both times.

Dr. Lin is a wonderfully refreshing physician. She is engaging, wastes no time, gets to the point quickly, and answers questions clearly and succinctly. She stays on point which makes the meeting go quickly; at the end I knew exactly what my situation is, the solution, and how we were going to accomplish it. Dr Lin is a very excellent doctor and a beautiful person. I have been going to her for my pain management. She has the knowledge and the patience. She talks to you one on one and then decides what’s she’s going to do. And her staff and office personnel are wonderful.
Have lack of full understanding of problem I’m suffering with and Dr Lin’s comment about maybe needing a second opinion from a surgeon. I’ve been dealing with this issue since last September and hoping to resolve it. Please advise me so I can understand. Thanking you in advance. Howard Godwin
