Hi, I had been to Dr Trazzino about a year ago. I had a dentist who I had seen for at least 20 years, unfortunately he died. I went to another dentist who saw me for awhile but while preparing a tooth to crown he broke it. Show moreThen I tried a couple of dentists as my dental situation is rather complex and needs to be addressed by someone very skilled at their profession. Finally, a friend of mine referred to Dr Trazzino. He spent a lot of time with me. He then asked me to come back in a few days as he would have looked the x-rays and examination and would come up with a plan. Well I came back and I did not like what was going on with my teeth as I had spent well over a $100,000,00 dollars on restoring them so they would last. He went on to tell me that the margins between the teeth I had crowned and my teeth were not properly prepared and their was cavities active in those areas. He said he would do what he could to clean them up the best he could but I need to have them all removed and look at to see what the condition of the teeth were. I was in shock by this news but I was not willing to do this aggressive of a plan. Dr Trazzino said he understood this was not good news but it was the reality and I did not have a choice as they would abscess almost certainly. I decided to take my chances and see what happened. WHAT A MISTAKE! Sure enough within two month of my visit a tooth abscessed and needed to be pulled. Unfortunately the oral surgeon who pulled the tooth mostly did sedation surgery where the person was put under before the procedure. I requested that they use a local and pull the tooth. She was pretty put out by this request but agreed. She came in a give me a local then waited about 5 minutes to pull the tooth. When she put the instrument to pull the tooth in my mouth I was pretty alarmed and said that it was very sensitive but she retorted quickly that it was just pressure and proceeded to pull the tooth. SHE PULLED THE TOOTH WITH NO EFFECTIVE ANESTHETIC. I was close to in shock. I then had an appliance made and let myself heal - but this was only one tooth. I went to another dentist. She was a very competent dentist but VERY busy. I had all my xrays brought to her and she cleaned my teeth and told me to come back when I needed to . Well I came back in two weeks and suggested that there was a bump above one of my teeth on the top right . She x-rayed it and said we should just watch it. Well I watched it for another month and the bump was twice as big. At this point I went to another oral surgeon who was claimed to be the best in town. He evaluated it and said yes it needed to come out but I needed some dental work done on the tooth and he could not do it because he did not have the correct instruments and go back to your dentist first. Well it was another month before I saw them. So I was walking around for 3 months with an abscessed tooth. After it was worked on at the dentist office I had the tooth pulled. Since I had many teeth pulled I knew what to expect. Well this one was very different. in 5 days I was usually doing much better, with this one I was worse. I was in Canada at the time and had to go get antibiotics . They did not stop the infection from effecting my lungs . It required steroids to bring the lungs under control. At this point I looked back and what Dr. Trazzino and said, " I need to call Dr. Trazzino and see if he would consider having me as a patient again." So a contrite me talked to him. He said come in the next day. I did and I said, "well you were correct almost to the day of what would happen." What do I do now. I now have a very extensive plan which I have to follow. I do not like that it exists but from the hard way I realize it is necessary. He went on to tell me that the type of experience I had is not that uncommon. Dr. Trazzino could have easily said, " I told you so". But he and Melissa were quite gracious. Dr. Trazzino had called me several times after the consult, out of sheer concern and seeing if I had consider my situation completely. SO if you are on the "fence" about if you should listen to Dr. Trazzino, please read my account again. Best. M.D.

Dr. Trizzino is an amazing Dentist impeccable care. I have never had any difficulty with crowns if he’s placed, which in the past, I did with other dentist. He shared with me the possibility of having my orthodontist shift my Invisalign bracing to encourage bone growth for my teeth. He also gave me an option of doing crowns over the teeth to stabilize my periodontal condition. He is well read very wise and the BEST I highly highly recommend him For his expertise and his dental art

Adeline C. • February 29, 2024

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Trizzino for 20+ years. This last visit for cleaning and x-rays was outstanding as they’ve always been. He is an excellent communicator and gives great recommendations on how to ensure the best possible daily oral hygiene. As far as I am concerned “Ed” and wife “Melissa” are a truly remarkable team, as is the hygienist who was helping with my cleaning.

Dr. Trizzino and I discussed taking vitamin D3. Several months after taking the vitamin along with plant sourced calcium and vitamin K2, I had a normal bone densitometry, whereas my previous scan showed osteopenia. It’s sad that family physicians and women’s specialists do not devote time to study about nutritional needs for optimal health.
