Dr. Maxey has expertise with several interventional procedures. He was one of the first physicians in Dallas–Fort Worth to be trained on dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation. He is also one of the few providers in the area who employs advanced neuromodulation techniques like targeted drug delivery and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. Maxey has given numerous presentations and has been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Dr. Maxey is a member of the Texas Healthcare Advisory Council and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, as well as the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Spine Intervention Society, Texas Medical Association, and Texas Pain Society. Additionally, Dr. Maxey has mentored students aspiring to be health care professionals in the Frisco Independent School District.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Maxey enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and charming son. His home state is Colorado and he is an avid skier. His other interests are reading, traveling, swimming, and playing the guitar.

My first appointment and it went very well. Dr Maxey was very good. He took the time to listen to my past experiences with my back issues. He came up with a great plan to help me. The office is very nice, parking is very convenient, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Great practice.
