Don Buford, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and regenerative medicine specialist. He has been in practice over 20 years and founded The Texas Orthobiologics Institute where patients benefit from evidence based orthobiologic and orthopedic treatments or surgery. Dr Buford did a great job diagnosing my shoulder issue and recommending surgery to correct it. He is informative and thorough and we had great confidence in him. In addition he provided open and honest information about stem cell therapy which I opted as treatment for my knees. So far very happy with results.

Dr. Buford is one of the best shoulder surgeons if not the best in the region. He stays on the cutting edge and communicates well as to what to expect during surgery and also records and videos what he is doing during surgery and why so you understand the procedures that were required.

I am glad I found Dr. Buford. He is one of only a handful of doctors in Dallas who use muscularskeletal ultrasound to diagnose injury. I prefer ultrasound to MRIs as it is noninvasive. The appointment lasted under an hour and that included x-rays, ultrasound, diagnose and treatment plan. I am very satisfied.

I have seen Dr. Buford for two separate issues and each time have found the entire staff courteous and responsive to my concerns. I have referred family and friends to this office as I have the utmost trust in Dr. Buford and his staff. They have had a wonderful experience with this staff as well. I had a beautiful result with my rotator cuff surgery and am currently beginning a course of treatment for my knee. I highly recommend Dr. Buford.

I trust Dr Buford because he consistently chooses the most conservative treatment first. When people tell me “surgeons just want to cut,” I bring up Dr Buford, whose choice is to avoid invasive treatment and surgery unless they are absolutely necessary. I can’t recommend Dr Buford highly enough.
