Deon D. Middlebrook, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician who has a subspecialty in nephrology, provides comprehensive care for kidney disease and dialysis management at his practice, Deon D. Middlebrook MDPC, in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Middlebrook graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, he completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine/VA Long Beach Health Care System in Long Beach, California.
Pursuing his career in kidney care, Dr. Middlebrook returned to Wayne State University School of Medicine to finish a nephrology fellowship.
Dr. Middlebrook’s extensive experience began at two dialysis clinics in Detroit, New Center Dialysis, P.C. and Kidney Replacement Services, P.C., which contracts with the State of Michigan for the Department of Corrections dialysis program.
He opened his private practice in 1991, where he continues to provide exceptional kidney care for patients throughout the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
In addition to his private practice, he joined American Renal Associates in August 2009, serves as the medical director of Wayne County, and is affiliated with two American Renal Associates dialysis clinics: the Detroit Kidney Center and Eastpointe Dialysis Center in Eastpointe, Michigan.
Dr. Middlebrook stays active in research as a subinvestigator for the Revival Research Institute LLC, the state’s leading clinical research clinic in Southfield, Michigan.
He also maintains membership in the American Medical Association, Wayne County Medical Society, the Detroit Medical Society, the National Kidney Foundation, and the American Society of Nephrology.
