This doctor is always very understanding and I feel he listens intently to my symptoms before he does his exam . I had a early appointment and I left with a slip to have labs … however I was heading to a funeral and then familyShow more luncheon afterwards … meaning I never had blood work done till about 3:30 pm yesterday … Dr Dalal promised to call me as soon as the results are available … I do expect to hear from him today at which point he will review the lab results then give me his professional opinion and try to lessen my symptoms which are debilitating at this time . A good caring knowledgeable doctor is very hard to find and even harder to get an appointment with … if you need a rheumatologist please try to get an appointment with Dr Dalal I promise you will not be disappointed !!!!
The elevator was broken and I had to take the stairs which was scary. Smelt like mold and was dirty through the hallways. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to the office. Clean, nicely decorated, infomercials on tShow morehe display were very informative. Friendly and professional staff who attended to me promptly. After completing the paperwork I waited for about 15 minutes and saw the doctor. I was really happy to hear Dr Dalal was not one for prescribing medications and unnecessary tests but rather suggested other means to control pain and coordination of tests with other specialists. I am happy to say I have truly found a reputable Rheumatologist that I can trust and look forward to seeing him in the future.
Deepan Dalal MD, MPH, RhMSUS, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and rheumatologist at RI Rheumatology, providing comprehensive rheumatology care to people in Cranston, Rhode Island, and throughout Providence County.
Dr. Dalal was born and raised in India. He began pursuing his career at TN Medical College in Mumbai, earning his Doctor of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Dalal moved to the United States. He completed an internal medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and a rheumatology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center in Massachusetts. He also obtained a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Before entering private practice, he spent almost 7 years as a teaching faculty at Brown University, and he continues to serve as an adjunct teaching faculty at Brown University.
At RI Rheumatology, Dr. Dalal diagnoses and treats various rheumatic diseases, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus. He takes a patient-centered and minimally invasive treatment approach, emphasizing healthy lifestyle changes.

Very experienced and knowledgeable doctor
I have been a patient of Dr. Dalal for eight and a half years. I have complete confidence in his competency and judgement. He explains everything to me and includes my input in determining all aspects of my treatment plan. He remains current on new treatments, research and the ever-changing world of medications. I recommend him to anyone needing a Rheumatologist!
Dr. Dalal listened to my physical problems and concerns,, and helped with physical and emotional expressions of my problem, and offered help for the future of my existence with this age related problem of my existenc with my aging arthritis.. I feel comforted and respected with him. Dr. Dalal is a very knowledgeable, caring physician who I would highly recommend to anyone needing a rheumatologist. After close to two years of having an undiagnosed serious illness Dr. Dalal correctly diagnosed my illness on my first visit and began treatment. He truly saved my life.
